Well I was there for 7 sleeps and 8 days so I got to sample breakfast, lunch and dinner :). The chef Joe did an outstanding job on every meal. My favorites were the raw fish and the sea food chowder. You must experience the buffet dinner where you can try some local Tongan food. The first day I ordered more breakfast to go with the complimentary one, but it was way too much to eat. So I got the complimentary one for the rest of the days. It included 3 toast, butter, jam, 3 slices of watermelon, a fried banana, a piece of papaya and some coconut. The bar and restaurant staff including Joe were accommodating to any specific dietary requirements I had, like "more please" :D. They were very friendly and helpful and they always would go the extra mile for you. They even made a birthday cake for my friend and they came out and sung happy birthday to her :DBe aware the meals are Tongan proportions (good amount) so if you have a small appetite then order half meals :)Most of the meals were from $12 - $22 tongan dollarsSome notable mentions;- all the stir frys- the pasta dishes- island curryYou can also ask to get fresh coconut ($5 tongan) straight from a tree but only if the tree clmbers were around at the time :)

We dined here twice. Once on New Years Eve where we had a great dinner with cocktails and then, on our last evening we went to the cultural night which was sensational. The cultural night included dances not only from Tonga from also included Fiji, New Zealand and Samoa. Part of the show included some dances based on the Disney film "Moana" which was delightful. There were incredible fire dances including a lady performing a traditional Maori poi dance with fire instead of poi. It was one of those wow performances. The buffet was fabulous and included a variety of dishes including delicious traditional Tongan dishes. It was exceptionally well organised and you were able to get your main meal and dessert all at the same time. At the end of the evening, everyone had the opportunity to get up and have a dance. Access was also easy for those with mobility issues which was important as we were travelling with my elderly mother.I thoroughly enjoyed this evening and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to attend a cultural evening on the island of Tongatapu.

Buffet dinner and entertainment every Wednesday and Friday nights $40 TOP per adult and $25 TOP for kids between 2 to 10 years of age.
we went along for the buffet night meals are served after 8 pm which didnt really suit us as we were told to be there by 7pm .meal was ok but a big crowd and very loud Thank you for your honest feedback, our doors are open at 7pm to allow the guest for arrival for the 8pm dinner. Unfortunately we average between 200 to 450 people every Wednesdays and Friday night with 95 percent of the guest being locals. Malo John

Tuna sashimi glisteningly fresh & absolutely melt in your mouth tender - possibly as good as Iâve had anywhere! The grilled lobster was plentiful & well cooked. All this for about AUD $41 - a steal.Donât expect fine dining or wonderful decor - itâs all about the food!

With its panoramic views of the ocean and outer islands, the TOP is a rooftop restaurant and lounge in the heart of Nuku'alofa. Serving an eclectic menu with flavor profiles from around the world and using only the freshest ingredients, the menu changes b
This restaurant has it all - delicious food, beautiful atmosphere and view and owners who are two of the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet! The minute we stepped foot off the elevator (3rd story roof top open air - stunning!) we were greeted with such warm enthusiasm by Bob, who owns the place along with his lovely wife Vicki, there was no way we weren't going to eat here! The two of them are extremely passionate about their restaurant and life in general - very wonderful people. To have such hospitality along with absolutely delicious food and an extensive menu is a combination that you don't always find. There is good reason that this restaurant has an excellent rating unsurpassed by any other establishment in Nuku'alofa. Knowing my birthday was in a few days, they presented me with the best chocolate molten lava cake a la mode l have ever had along with the attentive staff all singing me happy birthday - truly a special and memorable evening!Wish we were staying longer just so we could enjoy more meals at this lovely restaurant!Wow dog sitter, right back at you. You were a joy to have, and we loved our conversation. Please keep in touch. I have a feeling you will. You know where to find us, and should you ever wander in here again, you know we will treat like the special person you are. Take care, and we will talk again....Thank you, Bob
