In a place with a limited number of restaurants, we tried out this one because we were bored with the rest. We got a very inexpensive, flavousome Chinese meal. Mapo tofu scrubbed up slightly better than the braised pork, but for the price it's hard to complain. We threw in a fried rice, but both dishes came with mounds of boiled rice.

We frequented Talahiva at almost any ungodly hour and were never let down with the range of BBQ and other Tongan meats and root crops cooked to perfection. The restaurant's decor certainly caters to its local Tongan clientele with its TV Tonga running in the corner for patrons while they dine on the best in fatty Tongan take-away or drink some freshly imported soft drinks from Fiji. The biggest draw card is the fact it's 24 hours (except Sundays).

The Hideaway is Tongas ONLY floating bar and restaurant. We serve fresh Fish & Chips caught by local fisherman and serve the best Margaritas on the Island made with fresh squeezed Kola (a lemon/lime fruit) that grows right here in Vava'u. Some come on out

We stopped at the hideaway on Sept. 10th, 2019. The co owner, char, of the hideaway choked and tackled my wife. We were having a conversation. Char lunged at my wife, who was sitting in a chair across from her. She wrapped her hands around her throat and tackled her. My wife now has bruises all over her body from charâs hands and hitting the deck during the attack. We left immediately and have reported the incident to the police. I would recommend staying away from this establishment for your own safety.This is not true. If you would like to come talk to me you know where I am.

we bought burgers for the kids and the burgers were terrible considering we paid about $50 tongan pa anga to feed 3 kids. the chips were ok. but this place is a definate no no
