Rooms adequate. Restaurant food good. Water in shower a trickle but this seems to be the norm in Madagascar. Bed comfortable air conditioner works, mosquito net don't, but didn't need it with aircon.

Le Masoandro Restaurant & Bar "The Sunshine" Restaurant & Bar offers a wonderfully relaxed and comfortable setting. Guests are greeted with quality service and a smile, and have the opportunity to dine on some of the finest cuisine to be found anywhere. T
Scaling the experience to others on offer this competes quite well. Very convenient for hotel guests and generally good service and selection. Everything was clean and well prepared. Food came out as ordered and was tasty. Owner came out and chatted up the table next to us and talked with me later in the evening. Very friendly and generally looking for feedback and suggestions. The materials indicate they don't want you bringing outside drinks especially alcohol. They'll charge if you go off-menu and assess a 100% corkage fee. Not an issue for us but be aware if that's in your plan. The area is non-smoking and thankfully we heard the owner remind a guest of the fact before it got annoying. Overall a good location that gets the job done.
We were told Le Corail is the new name of Chez Alain which we wanted to try based on TA reviews. We didnât see anything that was named Chez Alain elsewhere so I am assuming this information is correct. The menu choices and other details seem to match. We stopped in on a quiet Saturday night and enjoyed some great service and a live guitarist. Great atmosphere and probably the most affordable food we have found on our two weeks in Madagascar thus far. The âRoyal Platterâ which is mentioned in a couple of other reviews was the obvious choice because of all the fresh local seafood but it was still only 50000 Ariary. We also ordered some coconut shrimp and Lasagna for my daughter. They can back to us to suggest we may want to opt for the 1/2 size Royal Platter which we were happy they did as the portions were still way more than the 3 of us could handle. The food was excellent and they mixed some great caparania cocktails for us as well. Definitely a good choice for dinner out in Morondava!

Had a couple of hours by the beach in Morondava and wandered in here. Massive portions, and all was delicious. Definitely recommend the seafood brochette :)

I'm really sorry to write such a bad review because the restaurant looked very nice and had a great atmosphere. Our food looked and tasted delicious, also it was plentiful. I had coconut shrimps, my husband paella. However, right after getting back to the hotel, I got strong diarrhea - don't know if it was the coconut, the shrimps or the baobab juice I drank, but I never got such a strong negative reaction to food whilst travelling through Madagascar, only here. Whatever the reason was, in my opinion it is not acceptable to end up in such a condition after a restaurant visit.

Our hotel ( sun beach) is close by so for a chsnge at dinner time we walked to capannina restaurant ( it was safe to walk on the strip at night though dark but it was ok) waitress speak English and food was good and not expensive. We even tried the house cocktail and rhum arrange( fruits infused rhum) . Maybe stick with beer as cocktails or wine was not that good. But atmosphere was relax with jazz music
