We stumbled upon this off-the-beaten-path cat cafe while exploring the Yanaka section of Tokyo. Inside is a study in Japanese organic minimalist decor with mellow cats as an added attraction. They wander freely among guests and on the overhead cat walk. Service by the Italian (surprise!) owner is warm and prompt. Food is good but pricey for what you get. We had iced matcha (green tea with milk) - delicious - with a couple of small snack plates (focaccia and pickled vegetables). Recorded smooth jazz added to the laid back atmosphere. This was a welcome change on a warm afternoon from the crushing crowds of the neighborhood by our hotel.

A wide selection of simple tasty food - this hotels cafe is a small gem hidden in Tokyo. We went there to get gluten free food due to my daughters allergy - and they only have a green salad. This is Sakura Hotel Jimbocho. Thank you for your review and comment. When it comes to food, it is true that gluten free menu is likely to be quite limited. However, we have various of kinds of drink menu as well and it would be highly appreciated if you stop by for tea break or in any occasion when you come to Jimbocho again. Thank you.

Passed by here on our way back to our hotel and decided to book for dinner. We were glad we did as quite busy. Sat upstairs where there is view of the river, bridge and buildings across the water.Very hip, buzzy and trendy place, had a good atmosphere. Food was excellent, carefully prepared and presented. We ate various sticks from the charcoal grill and Soba noodles. All delicately flavoured and delicious. We sat by the bar and watched the care the chef took with his food preparation, fascinating. You can also sit by the window if you want to watch the world go by. The staff were unfailing helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed this first meal for me in Japan.
