A decent budget hotel
Reviewed By kervingoNikko is one of the popular destination amongst first time visitors to Japan. It has lots of historical and natural locations to visit. Also it is conveniently accessible vi the train from Tokyo for a good day trip. But if you want to spend an extra day and have some limited budget. There are lots of budget hotels and lodge. The Hotel Famitic Nikko is conveniently located a few minutes on foot from Tobu Nikko Station. A must try is the famous AgeManju (fried Bun). The store is just across the station The hotel room is small but that is what a budget capsule hotel is. The hotel has normal room for two people as well A common bath on the first floor. The room has a lock closet for security, you can charge for tablet or smart phone sure to bring the cable. This is not a romantic getaway.

大人の修学旅行のようで楽しかったです
Reviewed By Claude-Ito神社自体のレビューは別項で・・・ここでは宿泊（参籠）施設について。 結果としてはとても貴重な、とても有意義かつ楽しい時間を過ごしました。1月という閑散期だったので他の宿泊者もいらっしゃらず、大部屋を予約していましたが個室へ通して頂きました（但し必ずしも個室に通していただける訳ではないので、プライバシーなどを重要視される方は初めから個室を予約された方が安心だと思います・・・特に週末＆繁盛期など）。個室自体は暖房も良く効いていて清潔で、然も旅館のような立派な部屋でした。TVもあり（見ませんでしたが）個別に洗面所＆トイレも完備していました。 お風呂の方は夕方から20:00頃まで。この時間内に入り損なうと大変なので気を付けて！（朝風呂は入れません）食事の方はシンプルながら量もあり、他でも良く言われていますが、けんちん汁が絶品でした（当然の如くお代わりしました）。 夜は21:00に消灯です。勿論消灯後は起きていても構いませんが、廊下などの照明は落とされ玄関の鍵が掛けられますので、外出出来なくなります。朝は8:00からご祈祷があるので、参加される場合、朝食はその前に済ませておいた方が良いかもです（因みにご祈祷後の朝食も選択可能でした） 山奥なのでスマホの電波も届いていませんでしたが、たまにはTVやスマホを見ない、川の流れる音だけを聞きながら静かに過ごす夜も悪くないと思いました。給仕のスタッフの方達も大変親切で、機会があったらまた宿泊したいです。

食事は美味しい
Reviewed By izu635102朝夕食付で6000円弱。会員価格。ユースの会員でなくても泊まれますが600円増し。お部屋はグループ毎で他の旅行者と一緒になりませんでした。お部屋の掃除は行き届いてますが、トイレや風呂場等は古さは否めません。もう少し掃除が行き届いていたらとおもいました。

FREE Pickup SHUTTLE from JR Nikko OR Tobu Nikko stations for checkin (see train lines, stations and times below) The riverhouse’s arrangement is social. The whole point is for everyone to meet each other, explore Nikko and have fun. Fully stocked utensils in the guest kitchen upstairs in main building, if you prefer to cook for yourself. Alcohol is available to purchase

Reviewed By MulroyMobileIf you are looking for a break from the madness that is Tokyo and want to experience the other side of Japan, enjoying the wonder of its untamed nature then you couldn't go far wrong staying here. It is a little out of Nikko but the host operates a shuttle service to pick you up at the train station. Swim in the stunning river, walk the woodland paths, and enjoy first rate veggie cooking.
