Tirana, the Republic of Albania's largest city, is blessed with a mild Mediterranean climate, a plethora of beautiful churches and lush parks. Founded in 1614, some striking Mussolini-era architecture dots the city center. Walk between sights such as Skanderbeg Square's 1789 Et'hem Bey Mosque, the 1830 Sahat-Kulla (Clock Tower) and the Puppet Theater, once home to King Zog's puppet parliament. Visit the Peace Bell, built with old cartridge shells, a reminder of Tirana's stormy past.

Visited this restaurant as a group on our last night of a Gate1 tour of the Balkans. Family style foods including excellent salad, an assortment of vegetarian appetizers, and several meat main courses including veal meatballs, beef stew in a bread bowl, and lamb in a yoghurt sauce. Very tasty. Restaurant has large seating areas inside and out. Appears to be popular with locals for events.Dear HappyCanadian13, thank you very much for this positive and nice review! We are glad you could enjoy it and hope to welcome you soon again at our restaurants, Thank you and have a nice day!

The almost endless list of homemade raki or brandy is the star attraction at this place, although the interior enjoys second billing for being so eclectic. Nose around and check out the one-whole-lek note from the 1970s - ironically probably highly valuable these days - and other curios from the Communist era while you're there. The staff are happy to give you some insight into them.We came here for a nightcap and enjoyed the blackberry and honey & cinnamon rakis, accompanied by a lovely berry tart and mixed nut cake. The menu is in Albanian only, but Google Translate will help on that front (the staff as well, no doubt, if you ask them). For two brandies and cakes the bill came to 670 lek - a mere â¬5.50.Addendum: we came back here for another nightcap a few nights later. I wanted to try the cardamom raki but they didn't have any, so I took the mulberry. It was fine, but the berry sweetness was subtle to the point of being barely perceptible. My husband's walnut raki did what it said on the tin though.

Two years after the opening of Artigiano at Blloku, the number of people queuing outside for a table, kept growing. The love and cherishment of our clients, inspired us to open a second restaurant. And we decided to do it âa la grandeâ. In 2015, we found
My husband and I, per recommendation of our hotel, dined @ Artigiano Vila. Nice environment, food and adequate service. I did not give them a perfect score as they allow smoking in many areas of the restaurant. When we asked they did change our table but we needed to sit inside. Too bad the smokers get the best tables along the garden areas. My salmon and grilled vegetables, as well as my husband's seafood pasta were delicious and well prepared. Wine by the glass and beer were also good. Relaxed service and adequate prices.Dear trvlbufChicago,Thank you for writing on your experience and leaving such a great rating. We are really glad you liked our restaurant food and service. We are sorry to hear about your concern but here in Albania smoking is allowed in open areas by low, that's why we cant stop our customers smoking at the garden. In cases when we have customers like you, we suggest any other table outside or when we are booked we suggest to sit inside the restaurant. We hope you will visit us again in future and that next time you will enjoy your visit much betterBest Regards from the whole Artigiano team

Followed the reviews and thank goodness! Stunning food! I had the Oven Baked Lamb. Cooked to perfection. Such good service too. Encouraged to try a selection of starters and glad we were. The Semi Freddo with Chocolate and dried fruits dessert is to die for! All in all highly recommended!

We had the Albanian mixed starter which pleased both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Too follow I chose the liver and kidney dish which was a delight. Central location but only small so it maybe advisable to bookDear helstravels, thank you very much for this positive and nice review! Tek Zgara Tirones, a cozy restaurant very close to the center. This restaurant offers a variety of delicious Albanian, Mediterranean traditional cooking and not only. With a specialized staff, we make sure that our costumers spend a nice time with us. For
Food was great, service was rude. I had a bottle of water on the table and the waiter didnât like this, so without asking me, took it upon himself to pour it into a dirty glass and try and take my bottle from me with an attitude. This is a country where tap water is not drinkable throughout, so I find this incredibly rude. Especially as it is listed as a cheap eat and not 5* dining. He also decided to hand me the bill before I had even finished half my plate. No words or eye contact exchanged throughout. The rudest service I have experienced in a long time!

The location of our nice little restaurant is in the middle of Tirana, in the most favorite part of it called The Block. The philosophy of this restaurant since the beginning of it is eating healthy so this is what we offer. Nearly all of our products are

Great food is not always expensive! This is a unique restaurant from two master chefs - Alfio Rrotani and Indrit Cela! You are welcome.
This is the top rated restaurant in Tirana and for good cause. The food is excellent, the presentation amazing, prices very low and service is great. My only comment t is the fish main courses were disappointing compared to the appetizers and dessert but they arenât bad, the just werenât as special as the other courses. But still a great dinner and well worth a visit.
