We enjoyed our first trip to The Empire at 138 as a result of a gift certificate we received. The ambiance was indeed modern but historical, the wait staff excellent, and the food was scrumptious. Not for a budget dining experience however.

For the first couple years that Bailiwicks was open, I avoided the place because of some rude employees. There are two universities in Tiffin, Ohio, and these employees were students at one of them and not very nice in voicing their opinions about the other university (where I work). Fortunately, those individuals are long gone, and the atmosphere is nicer.
The coffee is good, there is wifi, games, and plenty of space. The location is excellent, right in downtown Tiffin, with plenty of parking in the public lots just around the corner and on the street. The employees are nice, friendly, and happy to advise about drinks and local goings on.

This was an excellent local establishment I had the privilege of dining in while visiting an old friend of mine. The sandwiches and cupcakes were delicious. All items are made in house and the deserts are all original from the mind of the owner. This is a must visit if you're ever in the area.

MST was recommended by a client while I was in Tiffin. I stopped in for lunch with a co-worker. There were too many choices that looked good on the menu. I settled on the bacon and egg burger and started with the jalapeno bottle caps. The bottle caps were addictive. The burger is big (half pound patty) with thick crispy bacon slices and a freshly fried egg on it. My burger came out from the kitchen so hot that I had to eat it slowly. Wow that was good. The steak fries were fresh and also hot when delivered. I asked for some of their spicy sauce on the side and that was very good. Chris, the owner was very friendly and the other bartender was helpful and nice as well.
This will be one of my go to places in Tiffin.

Sabaidee Coffee House has the best coffee and crepes in Tiffin OH! It is worth the trip to this growing town. Great people, choices, wifi, and atmosphere!
In Laos, Sabaidee means Hello and Goodbye. It's the Laotian equivalent of Aloha. The owner, Delana Ball, spend several years in Laos, and she brings in international flair to the small university town of Tiffin, Ohio. Sabaidee is in its second year as a coffee shop and has found a very loyal customer base.
Formerly Java Rave and Java House, the location is perfect for a coffee shop. It's directly across the street from Tiffin University in a nice, rustic brick storefront. They have WiFi, excellent coffee and drinks. The blood orange ice tea and the chaider--chai and cider, are very popular. Another drink of note is the banana yum yum. For me, it's the coffee. They have a good house blend and a variety of specialty coffees.
They recently started selling crepes that they make fast and delicious right behind the counter. I'm working my way through the different crepes, but so far, I can strongly recommend the savory crepes. The chicken pesto is fantastic, the chicken, bacon, ranch crepe is an awesome combination, and the Mexican and breakfast crepes are also out of this world. As I said, I'm still working my way through the crepe menu. They also have sweet crepes, with fresh fruit, Nutella, s'mores, and other combinations.
The staff are friendly and work hard. The owner, Delana, is genuinely interested in her customers and remembers their names. Her employees are equally friendly and efficient. They get the orders right, do it well, and have smiles on their faces.

You can't go wrong eating here unless you're looking for great food. We eat here a few times a year and it's never bad but never great either. Sometimes you can get very good food here though. I'm actually recommending this place as long as you don't go in looking for food that you will spend days looking back on.

Had the Frankies Original Pizza and it was very good, price was fair. Had a buffet but food was looking over cooked and dried out. Ravioli was in need of sauce. wings were very over done. Ordered the pizza instead. Service was good and prices were reasonable. Go early buffet may be fresh.

While there technically isn't anything "wrong" with the place, it just doesn't meet the standards it seems to set for itself. It's more lucky than anything that it is the only true family-friendly style eating establishment in the city. There are other places to go for sure, but good luck with it not being a Bar.
The food was average to above average but definitely not spectacular. The service was great, no doubt about that. The main issue is that the food is incredibly overpriced no matter what you get. Even appetizers cost more than meals somewhere else, and it is definitely not fine dining (even though that's the look they're going for).
While it's nice in terms of switching things up and not being surrounded by college kids getting wasted, it just costs too much to go to more than once in a great while and for a specific reason.

6 of us had lunch one afternoon. 4 had not been there before but agreed they would go back because the food, the portions, and the price were quite satisfactory. One was a vegetarian and was absolutely overwhelmed with the selection and taste. One wasn't a fan of Mexican food but found that the menu offered food less spicy and southwestern-flavored.

I am originally from Toledo where we have too many restaurants. Most of them are just ok. There are no stellar Buffets there, Here in Tiffin is a stellar buffet, from the very well dressed salad bar to the Jumbo (I mean huge) ravioli, you'll be impressed. Great selection of pizza. I moved here six weeks ago and have been to this joint 4 times.
