A not so tender goose breast was the only weak point and reason for not giving 5 stars.Other food, like the delicious duck leg, and drinks were perfect, as the service has been.A nice place in the heart of the city, worth a visit.Dear Jay,thanky you for taken the time to rate our service and food.It is nice to hear that you really enjoyed your stay even if the goose was not so tender.. We will work on that--)Maybe you will return some day.We would be glad and wish you all the best.Yours Steffen Heilmann owner

This was a nice little rural escape after a hectic few days in Berlin, and none of the hotels in Erfurt caught our fancy (or had free parking) so we decided to stay on the outskirts. This is a small inn (maybe 10 rooms in 2 buildings) with a nice restaurant and a lawn area in the back in which to relax if you choose. I think we were the only guests on a Friday night. The restaurant serves local beer and specializes in Polish food. We enjoyed a pierogie platter for 2 and home-made strawberry sorbet for dessert. Breakfast was a tasty and fresh euro-standard: scrambled eggs, a little bacon, cheese, bread, cold cuts, fruit, etc.Make sure to have adequate cash. Although you can book the room using a credit card (thru booking.com), once you're there she accepts only cash. After dinner I ran short, so she directed me to a Sparkasse ATM at the Kaiser store a few miles up the road in Bischleben.

We are a traditional Restauarant with dishes from austria, italia and international. Our Restaurant has 150 places and a covered outdoor area with 80 places. We also offer saisonal dishes and next to the restaurant we have a coffee with pies and cake.
Feels like you are in Austria. For the winter i like the fire place. Schnitzel are good and I love the colour of the vegetables very nice. Service is good specially when you love typical Austrian dresses.
Good food and good ambiance. Schnitzel are good. Also a good restaurant for a party. The fireplace inside is great and I like the decoration feels like you are in Austria.

As we were staying one night in the hotel which is a bit out of town, we had dinner in the restaurant. Our meals were all very good and the service fast and professional. We were 3 and took,- Forellenfilet (trout) with potato salad, apple-onion relish and butter croutons (14.90 â¬). The portion was generous and the tasty fish fillets lightly pan fried.- vegetarian pasta - thick band pasta with tomatoes and zucchini and avocado pieces in a cream sauce with grated cheese (12.60 â¬). Thoroughly delicious and fresh but too much pasta for me to get through.- Arnstädter Bierfleisch - goulash with beef from Arnstadt cooked in a dark beer served with red cabbage and the famous German dumplings (14.90 â¬). Good quality and delicious. We drank the local beer (interesting) and soft drinks. We ate in the winter garden, a huge restaurant with high glass ceilings (see photo).A good evening with very good food.

Had a lovely traditional meal from the area with friends.Good value for money including an English menu which very much surprised us.The staff were very attentive and tried to help us with our meal selection. As the restraunt is in an area not visited by tourists we were well received. We took the opportunity to visit the Erfurt Christmas market some 20Km from Arnstad, this is a must see attraction including the two very impressive Cathedrals. We have also visited Erfurt in the summer and would also recommend a visit.

Tanya is the owner and chef standing in the kitchen every day except sunday and monday â real cooking! Cross over cooking, home made cakes and good espresso. Tanya is from Canada, one of her servants lived in some years France, so the restaurant has cosmopolitain atmosphere. No Bratwurst! Thanks Jan!The new summer plan will be in effect next week - with a selection of some new wines, some new Cocktails and even more regional ingredients. I'm proud of our "slow Food" elements and this will be expanded with our summer menus.
