Wir waren am Wochende nach einer Schneewanderung nachmittags im Café eingekehrt.Kuchen und Eis (mit frischen Früchten) waren sehr gut.Preis/Leistung war in Ordnung.

We were directed to this restaurant by our hotel. It was quite a hike from the station on a hot day, but the food was fresh and appetising and the beer good. We actually returned twice, partly because there were few other places to eat in the area. Food very reasonably priced.

Urig aber toll eingerichtet, so richtig nach Berggasthof.Service ist gut und satt waren wir auchEinfach lecker und günstig gibt es dort Hausmannskost mit netter Bedienung. Der Gasthof ist etwas schwer zu finden, am Ende des Parkplatzes. Hier wird noch geraucht im Gasthof. Wem es stört sollte lieber nicht einkehren. Uns hat es nicht gestört, das Essen holt alles wieder raus. Zu empfehlen zum Essen sind der Rostbrätl, Bauernfrühstück, Holzfällersteak und Hasensaures(Frikassee).

I could not rave about this restaurant more!! We had the most wonderful experience, with friendly local people who made us feel so welcome (especially the wonderful host)! Not to mention that the food was so delicious (and the mushrooms homegrown!!!). This was not a tourist experience but an experience of the most wonderful German people and a chance to chat with and enjoy the company (and singing) of local Lauscha people! We would love to visit you again! One of our most memorable experiences in Germany :-) xxx Thank you!!

Kleines Restorant mit regionaler Küche, im Stile einer Wirtschaft wie es eigentlich auf dem Land üblich ist. Die Karte ist sehr klein hat aber die Thüringer Spezialitäten drauf. Ich hatte das Steak au four und das hat geschmeckt wie früher.

Selbst ausserhalb der typischen Essenszeit findet sich für Einkehrende bedarfsgerecht ein deftiger Schinkenteller (reichlich garniert mit Salat, Butter und Brot), gut gekühlte wie auch warme Getränke oder schnelle Mehlspeisen mit Pfifferlingen, aber ebenso gar warmer Schokokuchen mit Eiskugeln.So wurde es in unserer Gruppe empfunden.Die einhellige Meinung:Das Schinkenbrett war ein kulinarisches Highlight; die Pilz-Spätzle kamen leider zu heià aus der Mikrowelle und waren überwürzt.Parkplätze stehen an der SeitenstraÃe im gewissen Umfang zur Verfügung.

Das Essen das wir hatten war gut und frisch zubereitet, die Bedienung war nett und das Ambiente war hell und sauber. Preis Leistung passt in unseren Augen! Wenn wir noch einmal hierhergekommen sollten würden wir dort auch nochmal Essen gehen!

Wir hatten eine kleine Familienfeier in dieser Gaststätte. Wir waren positiv überrascht von dem gute Essen der gut sortierten Speisekarte und der flotten und freundlichen Bedienung. Dies obwohl die Gaststätte an diesem Abend wirklich sehr voll war, keinerlei Wartezeit und immer freundlich!

From the nice bar to the cute restaurant all is nice in terms of layout and decoration.Staff is very nice and the free entrances are so nice and tasty. The tomato butter might be the best I have ever had.Good mix of traditional vs elaborate plates all of them huge, no way to keep hungry at the end.Really good election.
