Just dirty, and desperately in need of repairs.

My wife and I went for a weekend stay. We arrived at 3 in the afternoon. No welcome, just I'd and handed a key. The room was disgusting, dirty, spider webs, holes in the walls, and mold in the shower. We left right after opening the door. We just sacrificed the deposit and got out of there.

TERRIBLE, STAY AWAY!

When we arrived, the gal at check in sounded confused and could not find our reservation. When she finally did she only charged for the first of two rooms. When we asked about the second room she again was confused. She then charged for the second room. The rooms were filthy dirty. The bathroom was so small you had to stand on the toilet or step into the tub to close the door. The floors were filled with black dirt and lots of bugs. We asked for housekeeping to come and clean the floors. We came back into the rooms and they were just as dirty. Mold was growing around the bathroom window. The rooms had an odor to them. At a later date we found out that they charge extra if you use a credit card to pay. Considering we had two rooms for three nights it was over $1000. Dollars. I called Hotels.com who we booked the rooms through and they told us we OKed to be charged extra of which we were never told. The lady at the desk called it “unusual incidentals” of which we used none. My advice…GO TO THE COMFORT INN up the street. This place was the worst and most expensive of our 3000 mile 23 day trip!

AVOID

After travelling all day on a motorcycle in 105° weather I was looking forward to a cool clean room. The Front Desk is only open from 3 to 9 PM and at that they were a half hour late. When I finally got into my room I put on the air conditioner and proceeded to take a shower. Ants all over the bathroom. After being in the room for 5 hours I am still not even close to comfortable. It's 8:30PM and 102° outside and 90° in my room. For $150 a night I expected something much better. Room is also dirty. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Great location

Lovely basic motel with comfortable and clean room. Outside cabins could do with a bit of TLC. No food available but short drive to well stocked general store and restaurants. Good location to get to park. Nice pool. Easy walk to river and lake. Great to see hummingbirds and other wild birds
