We were referred here by another place who had a break in their water pipe. It was a great call from the owner of the Bear Claw, also highly rated. Service was great, food was delicious. The omelets and hash browns were great and not greasy. It was a excellent stop and very reasonable! I was able to get a half order of biscuits and gravy with an egg and hash browns, sort of alacarte. The locals go here and you should too!

We stopped here for breakfast one morning based on reviews we had read. The staff is SO friendly. My kids loved the bear decor. The food was great (my husband said the eggs were some of the best he has had at a restaurant) and the portion sizes were large! We both had eggs, but the table next to us ordered french toast and upon seeing it come out of the kitchen I wish I had too!

The Cherry Hut was established as a roadside pie stand in 1922. The Krakerfamily used it as a means to distribute homemade cherry pies made from fresh cherries out of their orchard. Later, in 1937, the Cherry Hut moved to its present day location on US 31 in Beulah, MI. Throughout its long history the Cherry Hut has always been known for its homemade pies and jams. Owned by the Case Family since 1959 The Cherry Hut continues to supply smiling faces by serving food and shipping cherries year round. A Northern Michigan Tradition Since 1922.
I come here whenever I'm in the area, which isn't often .Kind of an unusual way of ordering, with different entrees that can be ordered dinner style (with soup, salad, dinner roll, cinnamon roll, entree, vegetables, potato AND dessert) or lunch style with fewer options. We had cherry BBQ pork dinner style and were stuffed full. (And we like to eat a lot!) The food is good as is the service. Near the Platte River campground.

Thistle Pub & Grille was the choice for our golf group for our Saturday evening meal during our golf outing weekend. Their side room comfortably accommodated our group of 17. For this size group they provided 2 servers, so our service, both drinks and food, was very fast and efficient.
I went for the Walleye and was so happy with my choice. The serving size was ample and the price was reasonable.
Whether you are enjoying Crystal Mountain with someone special or with a group, you should consider having dinner at Thistle Pub & Grille.

Stopped in to get a pizza to take back to cottage. I love this kind of place, local, rather dated, but great service, TV's covering the Tigers, local's at the bar having a $1 PBR. So I sat at the bar and had one...yeah only one. Server was great, helped me make a half and half pizza to please the family. By the time my beer was gone the pizza was ready. It sorta had a deep dish or siciilian edge to the crust which was crusty and tasty. The toppings were generous and it had great flavor. It's not a low cal artisan pie, it's up north great.

This is the main restaurant at Crystal Mountain. The dinner here was fantastic. Also had the breakfast buffet, which had everything you could desire. A great place to eat.

So after hearing new management was taking over, we started coming back, but gosh i tell you what the employees are about as sharp as a circle... the employee who took our order says itll be about 12 minutes lone behold 25 minutes later we are still waiting. First he never put in my wings, and so the group who came in about 5 minutes after us got all their food, and yet still my wings hadnt gone into the oven. Its a shame, id have thought things could be different but its still a bunch of kids who have no business running the place alone. The one Jordan was just standing around telling the other two to do everything, they just need to get their stuff together. Atleast going to the bistro i get great service!!

From the outside this place is a big question mark - should I go in or should I not. Definitely venture inside. The food is surprisingly good - especially some of the their unique fried appetizers like their take on cheesesticks and poppers. Their beer is cheap. And when they have entertainment, it is decent.
It is pretty dated inside - look at it as being nostalgic!
And even though per law smoking isn't allowed inside, their outside smoking spot still allows for a lot of smoke to filter back into the bar which drives me batty.

Waitress/Bar Tender was very nice & helpful. The 4 of us were the only people in there at the time. Food was good & nice portions. Hubby had a burrito plate & said it was perfect size & very good. I went for their chicken strips plate... brought some home. I'm not much of a French fry lover, but Hubby is. When I tried the fries, let's just say hubby didn't get many of them !
