We visit this area every year and only eat at Minnies since we found the place 5 years ago. The food is always made fresh every day and the pies are to die for. See you next year Minnies.

The food here is great, lovingly prepared. We ordered sandwiches (awesome grilled cheese!) and were surprised by the large fruit plate that came with it. The portions are large so we did not have room for the "infinite flavors of ice cream" that were offered... another time.
From the outside, you would not expect this place to be so good... it looks a little run down. Service takes a while so if you are in a hurry, go elsewhere. No credit cards. Original art on the walls.
Slow down and treat yourself.

I stopped by this little oasis on my way to Thompson Falls, MT and found a combination nursery and espresso bar with free wifi and outdoor/indoor seating, a waterfall fountain and tons of flowers and vegetables growing all around. My drinks here have been consistently delicious and the prices are way below what I am accustomed to. Highly recommend this place for weary travelers in need of refreshment.

Cold beers, wonderful wines and excellent cocktails served with delicious food, enjoyed on our big deck overlooking the Clark Fork River valley and served by an incredible staff. Enjoy one of our decadent desserts to top off your experience. Weekly and daily specials.
Stopped at Big Ed's, located in Thompson Falls MT. Beautiful setting great patio and a friendly staff. Good beer selection and foods. My favorite was the flatbread pepperoni and Mozzarella cheese.
Stop by for a beer and a snack, you won't be disappointed.
Cheers

This was practically across the street from the Riverfront Motel where we stayed in Thompson Falls. It is under new ownership and has a new name as the former owners called it Cold Spring Espresso. The place looked cute as can be on the outside and on the inside. Excellent coffee, wonderful muffins, outstanding breakfast bagels and the friendliest service all made for a great stop. If we lived there, we would probably pop in several times a week. The breakfast burritos looked good too and we wished we were visiting longer and could have tried them as well. There is a drive through available and places to sit inside. The owner is not only a huge beagle fan, but also a Chicago Bears fan, which, as a Vikings fan, sort of made me want to rate it a 3, especially when I asked to use a knife and was smilingly handed a Chicago Bears knife.... But Vikings fans are nothing if not honest and Beagles deserves a good solid 5!

The county sanitarian recently held a food handler's course which Montana requires all restaurant managers to attend every 5 years. While there, we met other restaurant owners including John, of Wild Coyote Saloon, who invited us to stop by sometime. He and his wife recently took over leasing the restaurant part of this business and are working very hard to build it up. They are running a great series of ads in the local papers. His wife, the cook, is a lovely person, makes "work of art" burgers and a great plate of tacos. They recently held a fund raiser for TRACS (our local charity for homeless pets). Looking for something different, beyond the world of corporate coffee shops? Visit the Wild Coyote Saloon. The building is a cobbled together rustic theme complete with wood burning stove blazing out warmth., The bar portion is "honkey-tonk" with a pool table and oozes old-time western charm. A fun place to visit, an economical place to eat! We enjoyed it and will refer our lodging guests looking for something fun and different!

We order pizza every visit to Thompson Falls. They have gluten free pizza, which is great! The crust is crisp, unlike a lot of gluten free pizzas. The sauce is good. My husband gets regular pizza and is happy each time (he eats a large by himself if that says anything lol).
A plus is that they deliver!

Dinner with friends left us all stuffed and at a reasonable price. 8oz steak was tender and flavorful. The fish basket was huge and delicious!! To see the outside of the place you might not give it a second glance but don't let looks fool you.
