Taipei Main Station is always crowded -- the Metro (MRT), High Speed Rail and Taoyuan Airport MRT all go through it. here's also a lot of shopping. Give yourself plenty of time, it can be confusing.

The Chiang Kai-shek (CKS) Memorial Hall Station is quite ornate. You can exit here for the CKS Memorial Hall. The CKS Station is the interchange for the MRT Green and Red lines. The CKS Station is quite fancy, as befits a memorial to the former president of the Republic of China. It's about a five minute walk to the CKS Memorial Hall.

i was in Taipei for Computex 2018 for a week, and Taipei MRT was my main transportation to Taipei 101 exhibition centre, i am greatly impressed by the well maintained train system, they are really clean !

The Taipei Main Train Station can take you almost everywhere in Northern Taiwan..Taipei is the economic, governmental and commercial capital of Taiwan. The Taipei Main Station connects to the MRT Blue and Red lines, and the Taoyuan International Airport Line. It is also the main stop for the High Speed Rail, going south to Kaohsiung. There are also numerous bus stops.Taipei Main Station is surrounded by eateries, there are lots to choose from.
