Located on an island in the East China Sea, this mountain is one of the four Buddhist shrines in the country, which features many temples and nunneries.
Beautiful bouddhist temples, beautiful scenery, pleasant strolls along paths on the mountain and along the road boarding the sea. Fresh air and refreshing sights of mountains, islets and sea.Recommend to visit Foding peak, Huiji temple, Fayu temple, Puji temple and Nanhai Guyin. Difficult to avoid the crowd of tourists and the faithful during high seasons.

Built in 326 A.D. at the foot of Lingyin Mountain, this temple features a main hall extending 33.5 meters in height, a statue of Sakyamuni carved out of 24 pieces of camphor wood and a laughing Buddha covered in gold.
Past the perfectly manicured tea groves of a picturesque country lane is the home of Hangzhou's amazing ancient Feilai Feng scenic area and Lingyin Buddhist Temple. Countless perfectly detailed reliefs, statues, and buddhas are carved eveywhere into the mountainside amongst tall beautiful trees, caves, pathways, and a quiet stream. Would have loved to spend many more hours exploring the site but moved along with my family to tour the Buddha statues and structures of the Lingyin Temple. The scenic area is one of the must peaceful settings I've ever experienced. Not far away though near the entrance you're back to civilization with many small shops, restaurants, not one, but two separate Starbucks, and most importantly...a Western styled ladies room!

Considered one of the most beautiful sights in Hangzhou, this scenic lake is sheltered on three sides by hills, with open flat land to the northeast where downtown Hangzhou is located.
I arrived in Hangzhou on November 12th with my friends. It was the first time I went to Hangzhou and it's definitely not the last time.On the morning of November 13th,we visited many scenic spots and what impressed me most was West Lake. There was antique and beautiful scenery. The Three Pools Mirroring the Moon was a wonderful sight, which made me marvel at it.At night,33 moons could be seen here!We visited the Leifeng Pagoda and listened to the guide tell us the stories about it.We learned about ancient Chinese culture there.I think it's very meaningful to visit the West Lake.Tips:When you go to the West Lake, the boat tour is a must.Hangzhou is rainy,so you'd better take the clothes and an umbrella. If you need to take photos, take a camera with you.

The legendary peak's caves have hundreds of Buddhist stone statues dating from the 10th to the 14th centuries.
Interesting Buddha sculptures at the beginning of the Linjiang Temple complex. They’re included in the Temple ticket. We especially liked the fat laughing Buddha and there was an sign with an explanation in English.

A small ancient town on water that still preserves its original look.
For some of us who might feel a need to get away from the concrete jungle of Shanghai, then add this on your to do list. A much needed escape to see more of what this beautiful and historic country has to offer. The river town of Xitang is in Zhejiang Province and is only 101km from Shanghai. It is a reasonable and quick trip. From Hongqiao Railway Station take a train to Jiashan nan by high speed train (30RMB). There are long ticket lines so be patient and arrive at least 40 minutes prior to your departure. The trip was less than 25 minutes and super comfortable with great leg room. Not sure why planes don't have such comfortable space. 25 minutes high speed train 30 RMB 30 minutes by bus K222 to Xitang 20 RMB Decent hotel Yha China 240 RMB per night Entrance fee to the town museums 100 RMB per day 15 minutes boat river cruise 30 RMB The food is everywhere and super cheap Magical Xitang is picturesque and captivatingly tranquil. It is a cultural and historical river town with a history of over a thousand years. I was transported to simplicity, warm kind people and good wholesome food and customs. It was a wet day when we arrived. Apparently it is the best time to travel around the water town as many poets got their inspiration during the rainy days. This is a town full of poetry, paper cutting art and button making etc. Walk around the narrow covered streets and you will be transported back in time. Words cannot capture the uplifted and rejuvenated spirit of being surrounded by healing waters, tranquility and captured in awe of walking through this town. This is why I came to China in the first place. To see the stories and life that was beautifully written and delivered in the movies we saw growing up. Enjoy your mini city escape...

It offers beautiful scenery, but the lake itself is so small that taking boat ride is almost not worth it. Nothing really to see except if you go up the mountain... with the pathway not that well maintained .

Wuzhen, a 1300-year-old water town on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, is a national 5A scenic area and one of China's top ten historical & cultural towns. Located on the Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou Plain in northern Zhejiang Province, it is at the center of the golden triangle consisting of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou. Wuzhen can be easily accessed through a number of expressways and national highways. In 2001, Wuzhen was named as a candidate for UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage List. At the end of 2006, it was included in the revised List of China's Candidates for UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. The ancient Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal flows through the town, which is divided by waterways into four areas, Dongzha, Xizha, Nanzha, and Beizha. Since its foundation in 872 A.D., Wuzhen has never changed its name, location, waterways, or way of life. Traditional buildings remain intact today even after hundreds years of weathering.
Visited this place as part of my tour to Hangzhou. It is like being taken back in time to an ancient town.Took the boat ride and really enjoyed the experience(Woww!!!!).It is good that there are so many beautiful places in China that made me always come back for more.

Went there with a friend, it's a gentle walk to the temple, tree lined road history says the monk that build it prayed for something to happen to move the heavy tree trunks from the forest to the area. A rain followed the place closed and the trunks were used to build the temple. This place has everything, temples, monks, history, a big pagoda, an ancient tree, 2 lakes with huge fish living in it, and an original temple of 1700 years old which is hidden in the forest. Local hawkers for street food which is great, and shopping stalls including a couple selling 100% local pure honey!
