When most people think of Zermatt, they think of one thing: The Matterhorn. This ultimate Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, first drawing visitors here in the 1860s. The village of Zermatt itself is lovely and car-free, with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys. Just concluded a brilliant week of skiing and tuition from Lello at Stoked. I started the week as a nervous intermediate skier and finished with new found confidence and much much better technique thanks to Lello’s skill, patience and great sense of humour. I actually enjoyed doing the red runs!

Great staff - very efficient rental process with lots of staff to help set up equipment, and even bring skis up and down for us! It was also easy to switch out from boards to skis midway and boot warmers to store your boot overnight so we had little to lug back each day!

My husband and I are avid skiers from Colorado and we skied Zermatt in December 2019. I rented skis and my husband rented skis and boots. We chose Dorsaz mainly because of their location at the base of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and their easy to use website. We reserved our rental online which was very easy. The staff we worked with at Dorsaz were very knowledgeable and friendly. The ski selection was great and they had many brand new pairs available. The boot selection was ok and some of the boots seemed a few seasons old. Having the option to store your skis and boots at their location at the base of the Zermatt-Furi Matterhorn Express gondola was amazing. Since we stored our gear at the mountain, we were able to walk in shoes to and from our hotel on the main street, Bahnhofstrasse. Coming from Colorado, the most interesting thing was that most of the skis they have available are very skinny, like less than 86mm under foot. We rented skis that were 88mm and 92mm (which are much thinner than what we're used to at home) and they worked great for the conditions. Overall, we had a great experience with renting from Dorsaz and will definitely book with them again for our next trip! :)

All equipment rentals were of very good quality. There's a locker where you can keep your skis overnight and return to get it. They are located next to the Gornergrat cable car. They are also contained in a shop where if you want to buy ski accessories, you can.

We came here a couple of weeks ago to hire skis for three days' summer skiing on the Matterhorn. The service was fantastic - the man who helped us really listened to our requirements and took great care to select ski gear for us that would give us the best trip possible. They were super friendly and professional and were really competitive on price. We will definitely be back!
