The Op Pad In Je Stad team are really Zaankanters and have set up the first edition for an interactive walking route through Zaandam. The tour starts in front of Zaandam town hall, will take about two hours and is fun for young and old. You just need a cell phone!

This is a don't miss experience! My daughter and I really wanted to ride bikes in the Netherlands but didn't have the courage or the skill to do it in Amsterdam. We visited Zaanse Schanese on our own instead of with a tour group and it was very easy to get there and back without the time constraints and cost of the tour. (Central station to the upstairs 891 bus, just buy a 24 hour regional ride pass, regional is red, the bus drops you off right out front, you can buy a ticket on bus) The review left by the person who expected the owners to unexpectedly drag bikes to the train station is very unfair review of this business. This is an experience you definitely should do. It was not expensive, the bikes were comfortable and the owners great! Our navigational skills were tested but if you read the steps instead of just trying to follow the turns while riding you should be fine. If I had it to do again I would and I would do the 2 hour ride instead of the 1 hour as the time went by very fast. Lovely people here the whole day was my very favorite of the whole trip. Thank you again to the owners.

The Zaanse Schans, the Industrial Heritage and t'Twiske are just a few great places to visit by scooter. Our Vespa-like scooters are just new. Child seats and GPS Navigation available.
