Hidden gems of Yucatan, such as Tulum, Akumal, Chetumal, Chichen Itza and Merida, offer an authentic taste of Mexico. Akumal and more Caribbean-style Chetumal, near the Belize border, deliver delectable white-sand beaches and great snorkelling. Merida, Chichen Itza and Tulum, with their ancient ruins, offer a passage into the Yucatanâs native history. Nature lovers can jungle trek and swim in subterranean sinkholes filled with crystal-clear water. Bike around the ruins and hop between towns in colectivo vans.

We loved having all the different vendors in one place to shop at. We were able to get souvenirs for everyone on our list all in one shopping plaza. One of the vendors was even from our home town in St. Louis, Mo and we talked about that for a while. Everyone was friendly and helpful and had a great assortment of local crafts.

Every year when I vacation in Cancun I do all of my jewelry shopping at Sol y Luna. I have shopped there since the 90's. When you shop there you know that you are purchasing beautiful sterling silver jewelry. Quite a few stores in the mall try to sell the fake stuff as sterling silver so beware! Ask for Edgar or Ophelia for great service! Fair prices and a great selection. After shopping for jewelry check out the souvenir store next to Sol y Luna.
