Charming Ystad is an important hub of the Swedish film industry. It’s home to the country’s oldest cinema (Biografteatern Scala), a production studio, and the Cineteket interactive film museum. Significant medieval features of Ystad include Greyfriars Abbey, the Church of the Virgin Mary, and the 16th-century Latin school. Located just east of Ystad, a long, fine-grained sandy beach. Here is also camping, holiday village, hotel, mini golf and restaurants. The beach has five jetties, one of which has a ramp for people with disabilities. At the western end, between the sports ground and the tennis courts, is a large parking lot which is open during the summer. There are cycling and walking paths along the beach.
2. Lilleskog
Lilleskog's bathing area is at a reasonable distance from Ystad, one kilometer west. Here goes the cycle path between Ystad and Trelleborg. You can also take a bus here.

The bathing area is located east of Ystad, a long, fine-grained sandy beach with five jetties, one with a ramp. In Sandskogen there is camping, holiday village, hotel, mini golf and restaurants. There are cycling and walking paths along the beach. There is a risk of flowing water in onshore winds and in surge waves from passing ferries. At the western end there is a parking lot open the summer.
4. Svarte Havsbad
The bathing area is located in the small village Svarte about 8 km west of Ystad. It is a 500 meter long beach with elements of pebbles. There is also a jetty here. You can cycle to Svarte on the south coast route or take bus 190 or the train.

the beach in Nybrostrand is located about 7 km east of Ystad. It is a long beach with fine-grained sand. There is also camping, pool, golf course, restaurant and kiosk. Risk of flowing water in onshore winds.
