One visit to the Yorkshire Dales and it’s easy to understand why the unspoiled countryside is the setting of so many novels. Must-see sights among the land’s lush woodlands and expansive moors include Hardraw Force (the longest single-drop waterfall in the North), Gordale Scar, and well-known hill range, the Three Peaks. Less adventurous visitors can rest easy, walking through the manicured lawns of Parcevall Hall Gardens or appreciating Skipton Castle’s medieval architecture. Although some prefer to take in the land’s wild beauty by foot or horse, the most popular way is via one of the park’s famed cycling routes.

Contemporary art gallery and coffee in a converted chapel in the heart of Wensleydale. Offering work from local artists as well as workshops and drop in sessions in all kinds of arts and crafts.
What a lovely place. We were able to browse the arts and crafts from local artists then had an excellent coffee while enjoying a chat with the owner. Definitely worth a visit. Lots of lovely crafts which would make great gifts.

Visited on three occasions whilst enjoying a week in Reeth. This was our favourite pub and we loved the food and ambience at The Bridge Inn. Made very welcome by the owner/staff and will definitely return when next in the area. Highly recommend.

For the last 5 years on the same weekend we camp near to Settle and on the Saturday the family (29 of us this year) walk into settle for a meal and a couple of jars. We contacted the Talbot Arms at very late notice yet they booked us all in for Lunch. We sat out in the beer garden under the large parasols and Gazebo, thankfully the very changeable weather was kind to us. Everybody loves their meals, I had the steak burger and 2 pints of Theskstons Old Peculiar. The Team at the Talbot Arms were fantastic, serving food and drinks to our tables, the Covid regs are correctly followed and they have a simple well signed one way system Can't fault this place, always spot on. We will definitely be back next year if not before.

Masons Freehouse is owned and run by a family trio. The pub has recently undergone a full refurbishment to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for everyone...
Stayed over for one night , room was immaculate great shower! We had evening meal which was absolutely fantastic food was a very High standard, breakfast was excellent and the landlady couldn’t help enough so friendly! My only complaint was our room had the emergency lighting system in so there was a bright green light which illuminated the room I found it extremely difficult to sleep .

Stopped for lunch on a visit to the Dales. Service and food were absolutely superb. We had the three courses for £15 and two courses for £12 offers. Starters were generous and tasty. Mains....oh my word! I had sausage and mash which was heavenly. Made my partner jealous who had the paneer balti. It will definitely fill you up. Didn't know where to put the desert. The place is big with three dining rooms, so you can spread out and keep 2m distance easily. The main room has an open fire, which is cosy. All they need now is more customer...so go visit this great country pub. You'll love it.
