One visit to the Yorkshire Dales and it’s easy to understand why the unspoiled countryside is the setting of so many novels. Must-see sights among the land’s lush woodlands and expansive moors include Hardraw Force (the longest single-drop waterfall in the North), Gordale Scar, and well-known hill range, the Three Peaks. Less adventurous visitors can rest easy, walking through the manicured lawns of Parcevall Hall Gardens or appreciating Skipton Castle’s medieval architecture. Although some prefer to take in the land’s wild beauty by foot or horse, the most popular way is via one of the park’s famed cycling routes.

Established in 2006 The Mulberry Bush Hawes has provided a good old fashioned Yorkshire welcome to locals and visitors alike, offering an eclectic mix of home and gift wear, Emma Bridgewater pottery, British sheepskins a specialty, British knitwear and high quality leather goods and jewelry, all a little bit special.
Well all I can say is massive thanks to Helene for her amazing advise on our purchase of the sheepskin rugs. They fit perfectly on our rattan furniture.

Ingleton Pottery is a small family run business making high-fired, hand thrown Stoneware pottery in the Yorkshire Dales village of Ingleton, by the riverside. Established in 1971, we are the longest established working pottery in the Yorkshire Dales. We are open from 9.30am until 5pm, most days, but if you're coming out of season please ring and check to avoid disappointment. We make a wide range of extremely tough tableware, electric and oil lamps, candlelights, vases, wine sets and more - all at sensible prices. Everything we is hand made and is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. All our clays & glazes are entirely lead-free and made from our own recipes. This ensures an absolutely unique product and style.
This is an amazing little place; I’m so glad it was open post lockdown. Beautiful little unique pieces at such reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Aladdins Cave - A tucked away treasure of a toy shop, harking back to days of old with a nostalgic vibe. Potentially the most agricultural toys and models in the North of England. Stocking Britains, Bruder, Siku, Universal Hobbies, RJN and more!
My little tractor mad boys love this shop and we’re so lucky to have it on our doorstep. I’ve had birthday and Christmas presents from here and took my little boy to choose his own things, which took a while as there’s so much to choose from! Everything you can think of for farm and tractor mad kids and adults!

Situated in the picturesque village of Muker, in magical upper-Swaledale, the Old School Gallery & Craftshop showcases the best regional and British art and crafts. Our gallery represents the work of some of Yorkshire’s finest artists, offering an ever evolving mix of styles and mediums. The craftshop stocks a wide range of local and British produced merchandise from soft furnishings and ceramics, to metalwork and natural skin care products. Our self-service café offers delicious cake and coffee, and with its private, walled, garden, offers a place to relax and soak up views of the surrounding fells. The gallery, craftshop and café, are uniquely housed in Muker’s 19th century schoolhouse with a history dating back to the 1690’s and surrounded by the stunning fells and magical waterfalls of upper Swaledale, part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The knitted garments in this shop are beautifully made by hand with intricate patterns. They are made from quality yarns. The cost in materials and time justify the prices, but they are outside my budget. Good to look at though.
