To stay on Troubridge Island is a privilege. Accomodation is in the old lighthouse keepers cottage, clean and simple. The island is a sand island, it takes under an hour at high tide to walk around. Birdwatching, fishing, sleeping and reading are the main pastimes. Very safe for children, shallow sandy beach. You are the only people on the island, clearly no shops, pack wisely. Love this place.

We come here almost every year. It seems that the jetty gets more popular each time and not hard to see why. Just look at the ink marks all over. Squid is definitely caught here. The area has toilet facility, boat ramp and car parking all situated at the base of the remains of a lime kiln built in 1907. Length of stay here depends on how the squid are biting. We enjoy the squidding and find it relaxing especially on a lovely day. A beautiful part of the peninsula.

Long jetty with great views. Really interesting to see the conveyer belt taking grain to the ships. I love big ships and this is a great place to have a close look at them. Judging from the black stains on the jetty I imagine there's good squidding here as well, but I haven't had much luck
