I recently attended a great program at the Library on the Yakima hip-hop scene. The program focused on Yakima’s diverse hip hop community. The program included about a dozen hip hop artists and an equal number of interested community members. The event was informative and engaging!

There is nothing more important to a young child than being taught the joy of reading early. It will help them in every class they ever take in life. Make coming to the library a parenting habit, prioritize the time. Downtown location, there's usually parking right out front, but really never a long walk at all. The library has a great network, easy to find a book anywhere in their system and they'll bring it to the branch you want. Very friendly and helpful.
