The Brinton Museum is located on the historic 620-acre Quarter Circle A Ranch in Big Horn, Wyoming and features 19th, 20th and 21st century Western and American Indian Art in a setting that is art unto itself. The Forrest E. Mars, Jr. Building includes three floors featuring five galleries, a Museum Store, and the Brinton Bistro, offering indoor and outdoor dining with picturesque, 180-degree views of the Bighorn Mountains. Nestled into the hillside, the Forrest E. Mars, Jr. Building is anchored by a two-foot thick, 51-foot high, 209-foot long arced rammed earth wall, the tallest in North America. The design symbolically defines the space, bringing together the geological and spiritual nature of its Western and American Indian Art collections. The Brinton Museum includes the historic Brinton Ranch House, built in 1892, well-kept grounds, gardens and outbuildings, and Little Goose Creek Lodge.
Fantastic collection of western art and featuring current local artists as well. I especially liked the Connie Robinson paintings.

Found this gem, totally unknowing what what was in store, an amazing mix of museum pieces of local plains culture assembled with the eye and attention to detail only an artist can assemble. Incredible museum pieces very well displayed, a sample of Bob’s artwork, and Bob there to share his collection and stories made this a HUGE highlight of our trip. Thanks Bob for visiting with us!

Stopped in to check this out and boy what a surprise. More inside the building than you would ever expect. A true depiction of the area from times past. The staff are local folks who have a long history in the area and have great stories about there connection to the town and how it has evolved over time. Do not miss this attraction!!

Open Seasonally during the summer, the actual log cabin art studio of early Dayton resident and "Artist of the Bighorns" Hans Kleiber, features his original furnishings, personal effects and art supplies. As a Forest Ranger, Mr. Kleiber plotted many of the roads and trails still in use today in the Bighorn Mountains. Get maps, travel information, and refill your water bottle as you peruse the art and life of an early Dayton outdoorsman. This museum hosts an Artist in Residence program for local artisans who serve as docents.

This is a co-op formed by a number of Cody area furniture craftsmen. Some create furniture in recognized styles (i.e., Molesworth); others create beautiful and unique pieces from local woods reflecting both natural forms and their imaginative craftsmanship. Nothing is cheap, but considering the amount of time/workmanship that goes into each piece, prices are extremely fair.

From the outside, this museum looks like a natural rock outcropping; inside this building lies some of the world's finest wildlife art.
Plan a visit to this wonderful western art museum built high on a hillside overlooking the National Elk refuge and meandering Flat Creek running through it. The National Wildlife Art Museum’s architecture is equal to it’s amazing paintings, bronze sculptures (inside and out) and awesome collections. There is a nice little restaurant with summertime outdoor seating and a classy gift shop with a wide price range. Interesting programs are periodically scheduled in the theater. On a nice day, take a walk down, up and around the outdoor sculpture trails. Well worth a visit by all ages.
