The lively capital of Curacao is a welcoming, upbeat destination with two distinct historic districts divided by the lovely St. Anna Bay. Punda, site of neat, narrow streets, is crammed with shops and museums. Otrobanda, or "The Other Side," is a maze of twisting residential streets, contrasting with the organized grid across the bay. Willemstad's colorful colonial architecture has won it UNESCO Heritage site designations. Diving and swimming with dolphins are popular activities in the bay.

Learn about the invasive Lionfish! Watch people make amazing jewelry from Lionfish Bring home awesome souvenirs, handmade Small but Educational * Fun * Unique
My wife and I have been spearing the invasive lionfish throughout the Caribbean and US for several years. Lionfish are doing incredible damage to the marine ecosystem by gorging on small reef fish, and it’s a never ending battle to control their numbers. So I was excited to meet Lisette at Lionfish Caribbean, who according to all the locals, has done more to control lionfish numbers than anyone on the island. So maybe her small shop is more of an educational center than a museum, however it’s well worth a visit and her jewelry, which you can see being made, is very tasteful.
