For a long, long time, Whitley Bay had very few decent boozers to recommend to the beer lover. The last few years have seen a marked turnaround as an eclectic range of independent boozers have opened. Leading the pack has been The Dog and Rabbit - a cracking, traditional micro pub with great home brewed ales and a wide range of guests. You’re always assured of a quality pint and a warm welcome - and great home deliveries during lockdown. Long may it continue.

Had a really lovely couple of drinks here. The beer was kept well (especially given the heat) and the bar staff were exceptionally well-versed and friendly. Really impressed and would come back time after time.

Popped in for a bite and spotted a couple eating Sunday lunch which looked delicious. We weren't disappointed. Hot, home cooked food. Absolutely delicious. Really friendly guy behind the bar who, even though he seemed to be doing everything from serving drinks, taking orders, delivering meals and clearing away, was one of the friendliest people we encountered over our whole weekend. Thank you

Highly recommended pub in the centre of Whitley Bay. We always pop in here on Sunday afternoons for a couple of pints. The wife and I always find it has a nice atmosphere and is always lovely and warm. It has a great selection of beers and they're amongst the cheapest in the town. The staff are very polite and friendly and other customers always seem happy and friendly. They have lots of large tvs spread throughout the bar to watch live sport but it's never too loud to spoil your trip there.

The bar celebrates woman who fought for woman's rights. From Charlie Chaplin's outward mistress to Suffrage and the Pankhursts. Some of images of woman not wearing many clothes on the walls are over 100 years old so if you are slightly offended remember these woman paved the way to allow a woman to have a cocktail in Grays Lounge today. Our menu consists of classic cocktails made with a twist of market-fresh ingredients. We believe in elevating cocktails into a culinary experience by putting as much care and attention into making your drinks as a chef would into preparing a dish.
We stumbled across this absolutely superb little Wine Bar last night, the decor is fantastic, the atmosphere was terrific, we had a great night with fabulous selection of Wines, Spirits, Cocktails and Beer. If in Whitley Bay this is a must to visit.

The perfect place to enjoy celebrating with family, an intimate date with your loved one or a well-needed catch-up with friends. Our Champagne Bar will provide you with Champagnes, Proseccos, Beers, Lagers, Cocktails, Wines, Spirits and much more. The Champagne Bar enjoys sea views across each floor to ceiling window with contemporary interior design and regular live music really setting the mood.
While people are queuing up in at the bars and spewing out on the streets up the road in Whitley, those with a bit more decorum can come and sit in this lovely atmosphere and be served at the table. Views out to the illuminated lighthouse and a great selection of drinks.
