Westchester County, a collection of towns that serve as a popular suburb for the bordering New York City, is also the gateway to the Hudson River Valley, an area that promises a plethora of outdoor activities, from sailing to bird-watching to cross country skiing. The County also contains Rye Playland, a popular children's amusement park, historic sites from the American Revolution, the African American Heritage Trail and several famous houses, including Lyndhurst, a Gothic Revival mansion.

Nice campsite and trails! Every park staff are friendly and kind and introduce us good point to see. We met Mr. Taro and Ms. Suzan at the site and email conversation with Ms Eileen . Everyone was professional and a lot of patience. We were so happy to be there. Even we had night rain. Hemlock South had a shade so my friend just dig a little stream then no problems at all. We had a great time ! Thank you so much

A sanctuary for riders. I ride there regularly. It’s intermediate to advanced riding so use caution if you’re a beginner or not riding a reliable bike. The park is split between a front and back, and staying in the front is the safest way not to get lost. If you do get lost, just remember that the entire park is surrounded by the blue trail, so no matter what trail you’re on, if you keep going, you will wind up on the blue trail and the less than 3 mile blue trail will take you to the entrance regardless of which way you go. Usually quiet, but Sundays usually bring a bunch of riders to the park; especially in the nice weather. A great place to take your dog (if it’s friendly). Most pedestrians are super friendly and mix well with the mountain bikers, but some pricks can’t understand that other people exist, and some riders may take their MTB adventures serious. I know I do.
