UB40 last night were amazing, in fact the support act Kioko and even the DJ were great too! A shame it was a rescheduled date when illness cancelled the original concert and maybe crowd numbers dropped as a result. The crowd were welcoming and even dancing in their seats in the circle and there was such a fab vibe! Everyone was enjoying themselves and welcomed the new album songs as well as the old favourites. 40 years on and of course the band has changed, which is well documented! What band still playing after 40 years is the same? The new important thing was the essence of UB40 was alive and well. My husband saw them in the early 80s supporting the Police and he was thoroughly loving singing along and considers their new album which he downloaded yesterday morning to be Up there with their best. The venue was well staffed and efficient in ticket collection, wrist banding and security checks. No bar queues and seat attendants cheerful and friendly. A brilliant local venue to see top bands without the travel hassle. More like this one please!
