There are many things to see in Warwick and, whilst this doesn’t warrant a great deal of your time, it is still nice to see. Although not a massive statue it is imposing and impressive. Randolph in all his glory and his history in association with the town explained well. Just off the main town Square you can’t miss it.

Erected in 1888, this bronze memorial is dedicated to Stratford's most famous and celebrated son, William Shakespeare, and is surrounded by four statues of characters from the bard's plays.
The Shakespeare Memorial by Lord Ronald Gower 1888 is probably one of the most visited monuments in Britain. The most interesting thing for me is that the monument is surrounded by many of Shakespeare's most famous creations, each a monument within itself. The location is also excellent and leads you directly to the river walk. Parking is just across the road and you can easily walk into the very nearby town center from here..

I visited almost four years ago now, sadly no longer there. The pen and ink drawing was done later as so many people missed seeing this fabulous work of art, at the time it put Lowsonford on the map.

Just along the road from Lunt Roman Fort there was plenty of parking. While the castle is not very substantial and only the basement level remains the ruin forms part of a much wider landscape which includes a riverside walk, nature trail and fish ponds. There is even the remains of a military test track from World War II. It’s all very picturesque and there are lots of information boards. It’s a really nice place to visit and very well maintained.

The American Fountain is the focal point in Stratford-upon-Avon's marketplace. It was a gift from American philanthropist George Childs. Work on the fountain started in June 1887 and was completed in October (impressive). There are a lot of fine details in the sculpture. There are lovely flowers/roses, an owl and an eagle, it's certainly worth a look if you are in the area.

We had just visited Shakespeare's birthplace and spotted this statue at the end of the road. We both had our photos taken to add to the vast collection of photos taken during our visit to Stratford-upon-Avon.
