We pride ourselves on our friendly staff who have extensive experience and knowledge of the outdoor activities in the Central Otago area, and our large range of quality outdoor sporting products and apparel. We have a full retail store where you can get anything and everything you need for playing and exploring the great outdoors. We cover a variety of activities including biking, skiing, water sport, fishing, footwear, camping and more. Rentals Outside Sports have year round rentals on the best range of bikes skis, and hiking/camping equipment for all ages and abilities. All rentals are maintained after each ride to ensure you are using the best products available We also have a bike and ski workshop for repairs and maintenance. So before you head into the outdoors, stop by Outside Sports.

Stopped in to hire a bike for half a day. Staff member that served us called Richard was fantastic. Gave very useful advice about where we could aim to go and tailored the advice to our level. Biked were good quality and reliable. Price very reasonable for half a day $35 and $55 for a full day.

The Wanaka Farmers & Gardeners Market was established as a venue for local gardeners and producers to grow a village style market. Through the years it has expanded and today remains one of the few farmers markets in the country to be held the year round. The Thursday market also now boasts arts and crafts. With visitors ranging from local regulars, to newcomers discovering amazing local goodies.
