We had a great wine tasting here that was unusual. Laura put out 6 glasses and had us taste each wine without knowing what they were and asked us to choose our favorite by taste. There were 4 reds and 2 whites. Then she brought out the bottles and told us what each one was named. We enjoyed the Blind tasting and did buy one of the bottles that we both liked. It was a unique tasting as we had visited other wineries who ask you to choose which wine you would like to taste. Ridgepoint and Laura have a unique approach! Good for her.

Foreign Affair has the best collection of red wines in the whole region, I highly recommend this winery, have been here 4 times in the last 4 months. Their Cab Franc, Gran Q, Temptress and Cab Sauv are amazing, if you appreciate great wine, this place is a must visit.

My partner and I spent a weekend trying new wineries and exploring the Bench area. We are experienced wine enthusiasts who are quite familiar with Niagara on the Lake, but had never spent much time in the Bench. Kacaba winery was one of our favourite stops on this weekend. From booking our appointment to the tasting to leaving with a few bottles, we had nothing but the best experience and service. Mark gave us an excellent tasting experience, and took the time to find out what we were interested in (big, bold, beautiful reds!) -- of which Kacaba has plenty of. The only concern we had was how many bottles of wine we couldn't help but purchase! Definitely a must-stop spot if you're looking for friendly and knowledgeable service and some outstanding wines. We will definitely visit again.

Alvento Winery, located in Vineland, was founded in 2001 near the waterfront of Lake Ontario. The 13.4-acre vineyard is owned by Zhang’s family, who fell in love with the region five years ago. Small batch wines are now crafted from established vines that offer quality fruit with subtle complexities. Vineyards are planted on long gentle slopes and enjoy uninterrupted sunshine throughout the day. Winds from the deep waters to the north, cool the sun-drenched vineyards in the summer and warm them on chilly nights. The wind, rain and sun moderate the climatic conditions throughout the season for steady, even ripening. This ancient bond between these elements bring great promise to this special agricultural land.
Excellent Winery - Very fast shipment to Vancouver, incredible wine, and the packaging was beautiful. This place is a must-try...

Open all year, Vineland Estates Winery is not only the home of fine wine and cuisine, but an unmatched touring facility and wine country destination. At this picturesque venue, extensive vineyards on the bench of the Niagara Escarpment provide the stunning backdrop to a unique cluster of carefully restored historic buildings.
It has been 20 years since I got to visit Vineland Estates (kids and life just kinda happen) and upon entering the wine shop, I was immediately taken back to the many previous happy times that I had while visiting. I was amazing to sit in the loft and sample some of their splendid wines and look out over the estate and the Niagara Escarpment. With all of the uncertainty going on on the world, it was a nice reminder that better days lie ahead. Next time we visit, we will be sure to visit the restauruant for an exceptional meal. If you are looking for a place where you can relax and enjoy life, Vineland Estates is an excellent option.

We have visited this winery twice in the past few weeks and it has been a great experience each time. On Saturdays & Sundays only, from noon – 4:00 p.m., they have a pizza oven going so you can enjoy a thin crust pizza on the porch or patio. And enjoy a glass or bottle of wine! We were fortunate enough to have Louise sever us and explain the history of the winery and conduct a tasting of the various vintages available. We also learned that the farm uses sustainable practices such as having sheep/lambs in the vineyard to prune vines. Really. And using raptors to control birds. Louise is a falconer and we were able to see her Harris Hawk, Amadeus, waiting patiently in his enclosure. She also rehabilitates rescued raptors. While the wine list is not as extensive as some wineries in the area it contains some of the best wines! Black Sheep Riesling is excellent. Perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. And a great value price. The best Riesling we tasted and it never fails to impress The Phoenix dry Gewürztraminer is lovely with very interesting flavors. Sauvignon Blanc is very nice and perfect summer sipper. Sparkling wines are very good. The 2016 Rose is another perfect summer wine and very nicely priced. We did not get a chance to try reds on either trip but that is a reason to return. Tours are available but reservations are needed. This is a highly recommended stop. Note that the tasting room is small so avoid busy times if you can but don't miss this winery. You won't be disappointed.

Located in the heart of Niagara’s wine region, Stoney Ridge has charmed wine enthusiasts for over 30 years, proudly producing a wide range of premium, VQA wines including the acclaimed series of Tragically Hip wines. Visitors can enjoy the lush, award-winning gardens, savour a glass of wine on the patios, or stop in to the Cheese Cellar for a selection of over 25 local and international artisan cheeses.
This is an older winery in my hometown, but it is a hidden gem! The gardens are amazing and the firepits with pizza and wings on the summer weekends are a regular for myself, family and friends. Great wines which are reasonably priced plus they make vino for my favorite band The Tragically Hip! Staff are always kind and the wines deliver quality for the price compared to many local wineries. A regular stop for this local!

Original in product, bold in flavours, and audacious in branding, Megalomaniac crafts wines of distinction—but with a touch of sass. Resting upon 120-acres on top of the Niagara Escarpment, Megalomaniac provides outstanding views making the winery a must-see attraction.
Our group of 3 went to this winery and were impressed with all aspects of it. Even on a dreary winter day, the view is amazing and the winery itself is very, very beautiful. The staff were very pleasant and we had a great time.Their selection of wines is well varied and I signed up for their wine club on the spot. I would love to go back in the summer or fall just to see how beautiful the locale looks. Definitely recommend to all wine lovers!

Nestled along the Niagara Escarpment in the 20 Valley, a GreenLane Estate Winery experience is like no other. Elegant whites, refreshing Rosé and bold reds await you in our relaxed, casual tasting room.
Delicious wines and food pairings, lovely little winery that I will recommend to anyone I know. Christine, keep up that enthusiasm you have for your wines, you did a great job and I will think of you when I’m enjoying my “Guts and Glory”! Karen S
