It's the biggest and considered the main church of Vila do Conde. Its construction started at the end of the XV century (1496-1497) and ended in the begging of the XVI century (1514-1515). It's a National Monument since 1910 because of the importance of the building regarded as a late gothic and Manueline style church and its tower as a Renaissance addition. The stained-glass coloured windows date from 1909 and were made at Paris, it is an impressive and beautiful church.

Wow this is amazing, a seemingly endless aquaduct, leading to the Santa Clara convent... apparently there are 990 arches, and it goes on for a full 5 kilometers!!
