In Vienna, the coffee house isn’t just a hangout: it’s an institution. Lingering over a newspaper with a pastry and a strong espresso drink is, according to UNESCO, officially a Viennese cultural pastime. Walk off your slice of Sachertorte with a self-guided tour of the city’s stunning traditional, Secessionist, and modern architecture, such as the Imperial Palace, the State Opera House, the Kirche am Steinhof, or the Kunsthistorisches Museum, an exercise in ornate geometry.

What a great nice and intimate theater. The change of scenery of having an English play in Vienna was really excellent. Great cast and great play. Wonderful seats, there is no real bad place in the house, all are nice. Only challenging part was the break. Not enough room to relax and have a drink when the place is sold out. But it did not really bother us.

The Vienna Residence Orchestra, a traditional chamber orchestra, has dedicated itself to the authentic interpretation of Viennese classical music and performs classical concerts of the famous music of W.A. Mozart and J. Strauss in the most beautiful palaces of Vienna. The orchestra offers its guests exclusivity and tradition by intimate chamber music from the time when the artists were personally invited to present their compositions to selected audiences. Due to the exclusivity claim, those chambers were no huge concert halls, but architecturally structured to offer perfect acoustics as well as a close look at the musical facets of the interpreters from every spot within the room. With its daily series of events and interpretations of the Viennese Sound, the Vienna Residence Orchestra is a long-standing and award-winning part of the Austrian cultural scene. The orchestra is accompanied by a couple of ballet dancers and opera singers, performing in historical costumes.
We listened to Mozart, watched ballet, saw some comedy and had the most amazing evening. I don’t listen to classical music but this was the most wonderful out of my box experience. The concert was elegant and the concert hall was beautiful. So happy I did this. It was a much longer show than I imagined it would be with an intermission where they served champagne. A lovely evening.
