Incredible!! We arrived an hour after sunrise and did the easy walk in from the carpark and then the short steep (30 metre) scramble to the top. Once we were there, stunning white rolling sand dunes as far as the eye could see. Wow! It felt like being on another planet and we were the only ones there even though it was a long weekend in summer!!I’ve been to the Prom ten times and can’t believe it took until today to experience the Big Drift. We were so glad we came so early because it’s so exposed (hot!) and after taking 100 photos, playing with shadows, sitting in the awesome peace, trekking across untouched fresh dunes (without footprints) and laughing at my partner rolling down the dunes like he was 40 years younger, we were ready to leave all the families arriving with their boogie boards to their fun. Take your sunglasses and water! Don’t go after 10am or you will be fried. I hear it’s great just after rain too. Highly recommend!

Just outside the Tidal River info and campsite and across the bridge is a large rock that really does resemble the head of a whale. It is best seen from the beach without going over the bridge but from wherever you view it enjoy

You can take a little drive down spray point rd and walk down an amazing beach path. Then you are greeted by an long board walk that go's down the beach. The beach is a lovely spot to go looking at the rock pools at low tide or just sitting on the sand when its high.If you walk down a different path at the you will come to the side of a cliff were the water crashes against the rocks and spays. It is genrally a very quite beach so you will normally be alone there.

Experience the awesome natural beauty of the world-famous Twelve Apostles. Rising abruptly from the tempestuous Southern Ocean, these seven limestone stacks are the highlight of the Great Ocean Road. They are best viewed at sunset when the yellow rock turns red, orange and every shade in between.
Great views and photo opportunities. Busy place, big parking lot, many tourists visiting (and we were there on a quiet day with foul weather). So fight your way towards the edge of the viewing platforms, stand your ground between all the selfie sticks and photograph one of Australia's great coastal views. After all, they may not be there much longer.

The picture speaks for itself, it’s one of many must see attractions along the Great Ocean Riad. It’s an easy short walk from the car park to the viewing platforms....

Even with bad knees the very short walk up the nicely spaced stairs was doable. Dogs loved it. View nothing to die for but if in area worth a peak.

The Organ Pipes National Park is located at the eastern-most edge of one of the world’s largest ancient volcanic lava flows, stretching 350 kilometres from the edge of Melbourne to the western border of Victoria. Park your car on top of an old volcano and take a walk into the river valley to the awesome stone columns that give this park its name. The Organ Pipes hang on a cliff face over picturesque Jackson Creek. A leisurely stroll down the hill leads to the iconic Organ Pipes, Rosette Rock which resembles the spokes of a giant wheel, and Tessellated Pavement, a mosaic-like basalt outcrop. Organ Pipes National Park is a great place to enjoy a picnic. Picnic tables are available next to the carpark and near the Organ Pipes lookout.
I'm amazed by the rock formation that shapes like gigantic organ pipes, how amazing it that (a stunning viewing pleasure), which makes me appreciate nature even more. To me, the major attraction is the organ pipes, though I will recommend visiting Tessellated Pavement while you are there, it will be worth your while as the rock formation is also unique too. It's only a short hike from the car park (~30 min walk)/visitor centre. There is plenty of parking, and the park is very well-maintained too. An easy day hike for sure from Melbourne (30 min).
