Things to do in Venice, Veneto: The Best Transportation

November 30, 2021 Fernanda Pittenger

With its gondolas, canals, amazing restaurants, and unforgettable romantic ambiance, Venice is definitely a city for one's bucket list. Waterfront palazzos, palaces, and churches make drifting down the Grand Canal feel like cruising through a painting. To really experience Venice you must go to the opera or to a classical music performance, nibble fresh pasta and pastries, and linger in the exhibit halls of an art gallery. Label lovers will drool over the high-end shopping in Piazza San Marco.

Great experience & service! We (family of 4, to include a 10 year old and 7 month old) had 6 checked bags total & the luxury vehicle provided was perfect! Prior to the day of pick up, the company sent email notifications with updates on our driver, vehicle info & the driver’s cellphone number. The day of travel, we we’re picked up right on time and got to the airport faster than anticipated. Infant car seat was also provided as requested and it was perfect! Nice, comfortable, & more importantly clean for my baby. We’re booked for a return transfer & have no worries about the services. I will definitely recommend to friends and co-workers.

I came to Venice alone on a solo trip and and had planned to take a day trip to the town of Asolo, about 2.5 hous outside of Venice by train/bus. The night before at the last minute, I decided I wanted help getting to the train station in the morning instead of navigating myself. Thankfully it wasn't too late and I was able to book with Giora. She asked my final destination, what time I hoped to arrive, and planned to meet me at the public square closest to my hotel in the morning. The next morning, after being greeted with enthusiasm, our journey began! Our walk to the train station was made special by Giora pointing out landmarks and architecture, and sharing rich Venetian history along the way. When we arrived at the train station she took it upon herself to help me map my route to Asolo, conversing with the station agent and figuring out when and where I needed to transfer trains, which I REALLY appreciated! She walked me over to the train and even went ABOVE AND BEYOND by speaking to the conductor as I boarded, letting him know what stop I needed to get off at and asking him to be sure I didn't miss it. She was so willing to help and did it all with great care; I cannot emphasize enough how excellent her service was and the huge difference it made in my trip! She also recommended an amazing cafe and bakery with the most delicious cappuccino ever hat I was able to pass along to a another friend for when she visited Venice :) Overall I am SO GLAD I booked with Taxi Ncc! I have no doubt that whenever I'm back in Venice I'll use this service, and recommend it to any family and friends who visit!
