To fully experience the incredible Tannese culture, the "Nikinamap Toka Dance" captivates you with its vibrant dances and intriguing kastom ceremonies. See first hand dances that celebrate significant dates and seasons in local village life – the harvesting of the yam, traditional circumcision ceremonies, and the famous toka dance which celebrates unity in an island once known for tribal war and cannibalism. The Tannese culture is closely linked with our natural environment, so it is fitting that part of our tour includes a guided walk from our village down to Vanuatu’s (& possibly the worlds) biggest banyan tree, which has to be seen to be believed! It is the village children's own personal jungle gym and boasts of at least 3 trunks and a canopy expanse filling an entire valley. Here you will wind your way through a network of pathways in and around, up, over and through the giant tree.

For anyone able to done fins, masks and snorkel the colourful coral world awaits your own personal journey of discovery. Your day trip starts a St Michel Landing Luganville, where you are picked up by a traditional island long boat. Then your travel down the beautiful Segond Channel to Lapita Beach Aore Island. Weather you want to sit back and relax, snorkel on beautiful reefs or explore a work cattle and coconut plantation. It’s up to you and at your own pace.

It is an unique experience to learn how the chocolate is made from the beans to the bar and taste the different chocolate from different islands origin and with local ingredients such as coconut, coffee, local nuts (Nangai), sea salt, kava, cristallized ginger, cristallized turmeric, cocoa nibs and chili pepper. Aelan Chocolate Makers has a strong social responsibility as it is owned at 80% by the local NGO ACTIV (Alternative Communities Trade In Vanuatu), which assists the cocoa producers and the local communities from the archipelago of Vanuatu for best agricultural practices training and market access. The ACTIV centre made of local materials regroups the Aelan Chocolate factory, the extra Virgin Coconut oil factory and the Handicraft centre with the Island shop, which is access-free. The facility is suitable for family with kids and wheel-chairs. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the structures and gorgeous blooms and fruit are on show throughout the year.

Enjoy the luxury of your own exclusive beach lounger for two. The beach loungers are clam shell beach umbrellas that offer privacy and protection from the sun. They are set up on a beautiful part of the beach at Mystery Island close to other activities such as stand up paddle boarding, snorkeling sites and the markets. Nap under your shade, swim in the clear azure waters or unwind at your leisure. Its paradise with a hint of luxury, set amongst the tropical splendour of Mystery Island. This rental is sold by the clamshell. Please book per clamshell and not per person. Each clamshell can accommodate up to two guests. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included (subject to availability).

This tour goes around the island following the dramatic Efate coastline and includes many stops from traditional Melanesian villages where you can gain an insight into village life to the ever-popular Blue Lagoon with one of the most pristine beach where you can enjoy a swim.
