Things to do in Vancouver, Canada: The Best Shopping Malls

April 14, 2022 Kaleigh Reichenbach

Vancouver was founded as “Gastown” by an Englishman with a penchant for beer and storytelling. Today Gastown is a historic section of the Canadian metropolis, and the lively pubs still reflect the area’s former status as a sort of community drinking center. The city’s forests, grand parks, and impressive suspension bridge beckon travelers to explore them, as do the city’s shops and museums. Relive the glory of the 2010 Winter Games with visits to Olympic venues and the marvelous Olympic Cauldron.

This centre is nicely located, and very close to the Waterfront Skytrain Centre. Clean and bright, and there is a nice selection of fast food places in the food court. A nice place to visit if you are downtown.

Well I went to the SinClair Center with my wife. We are both nomal people in our late 40's. Unfortunately we are homeless and went here 2 days in a row to sit in the lobby and use my laptop to get out of the cold and rain. All was going well as a few security guards walked around to maintain order sporadically and I used the internet. I noticed during the 2 days some real nastey, smelly, drug addicted, disrespectful ect. people decided to come to the Centre as well. This is when the problems started as I figured they would. Toilets overflowed, drug addicts walked barfoot through the building and people used needles in the washrooms. Some people smelled so bad I bet they hadn't showered in a month. The security had no concept how to deal with it or distingish good people from bad. So they made everybody leave including the good people such as me and my wife. A few bad apples. I was approached by security who told me to vacate the building along with my wife. With no arguement we left. Although I let the security know I would leave along with everybody else as long as he didnt play favorites which he did not. I figured this would set new rules for the building. Apparently I was wrong becuse I stopped by again on now day 3 with the only intent of using the washoom. I was very surprised to see 6-8 people in the building obviously spending some time inside because of the cold and rain outside. My compliments to security and building management
