Vadodara (Gujarati pronunciation: [ʋəˈɽod̪əɾa]; formerly known as Baroda) is the third-largest city in the Western Indian state of Gujarat, after Ahmedabad and Surat. It is the administrative headquarters of Vadodara District and is located on the banks of the Vishwamitri river, 139 kilometres (86 mi) from the state capital Gandhinagar. The railway line and NH 8 that connect Delhi and Mumbai pass through Vadodara.

Maharaja Fatesingh Museum is in the campus of laxmi Vilas Palace. Very nice museum to see old war weapons and palace furniture and wall paintings. It has entry fees of Rs.80 for above 11 year and Rs50 for children. They also provide audio guide optional at the cost of Rs.30 per guide. You can get knowledge of various historical things like weapons, ancient paintings, different types of crockeries, different paghdies etc. Person having interest in history and school children would lite it most.

This museum and picture gallery building looks old and majestic. There are many interesting items like baby blue whale and Egyptian mummy. British era pictures are also major attractions.
