I'm not a student here but a tourist who loves visiting universities and library's. University of Helsinki sits firmly to the left of the Senate Square (when facing the Helsinki Cathedral). The library is the highlight of it (please correct me if I'm wrong since I only saw a very small part of the campus as a business traveler). Natural light sheds inside the library, and modern library tools are utilized. Highly recommend to visit the main library and appreciate the amazing piece of architecture. Recommend time to visit is 20 minutes in the library and 5 minutes of the main building by Senate square (not able to enter when I visited).

Had the pleasure of visiting the Helsinki University Library on a walking tour of the city, and it was the one stop I wish we could have spent more time to wander and soak in the amazing architecture. If I had a free afternoon, I would love to just settle in here and read or listen to music.
