I took a long walk from where I was staying to the local restaurant. My path took me from Vila Koman, through fields, crossed a stream and ended up at Plansarsko Jezero. Lovely place, nature and mountain views.

Discover the magic of the lake that attracts travellers from near and far. The current unique shape of the year did not emerge coincidentally. A tectonic hole made by the Bohinj glacier through the years, was once at the location of the present lake. Its path was obstructed by a huge rock which was so persistently scraped that the only thing that remained was the present island. The ice melted and the basin was filled with water, thus Lake Bled emerged, which is in some places up to 30 metres deep and quite popular amongst divers. 19 species of fish live in the lake, including carp, sheatfish and lake trout. Ducks and swans as well as diverse plants also swim and thrive on its surface.
This place is stunning, you can spend a good time there, rent some bycicles, swim, have a picnic, rent a boat, do hiking, etc. It’s a beautiful place!

The largest natural lake in Slovenia with endless opportunities for outdoor activities. A fantastic starting point for various activities in the Julian Alps. Guest of Tourism Bohinj partner providers can buy BOHINJ MOBILITY CARD to enjoy free public transport, free parking, free admissions and a lot of attractive discounts in Bohinj and elsewhere. PLEASE NOTE: parking in Bohinj is permitted only on designated parking areas (marked as official car parks) - this way you avoid any distress by getting a parking ticket.
Very picturesque lake so still - great pics with sun out- got bus from Bled to Ribcev Lazto - walked to Ukanc - choice there to get cable car (20euro) to MT Vogel or walk on to see Slap Savica Waterfall. Not much snow so walked to waterfall - bit disappointing as not much water flow despite being early Feb - a long walk but at least there was a bar at falls - walked back on other side of lake the views not as good - care to be taken on footpath - lots of fallen trees - 22km walk but worth it

The waterway that most of us see and admire during our visit to Ljubljana is the Ljubljanica River Canal. All that picturesque embankments you walk on, all that famous bridges -Dragon, Butcher’s, Triple, etc.-are crossing the water, are on the canal. The part of Ljubljanica River that flows through the historical center of Ljubljana tamed and with paved riversides, with all of these alfresco cafes and restaurants, the famous embankments where we’re walking on, sitting on, the river where we can have boat rides, all part of the Canal. Without this attraction, the city would lose much of its appeal. Capitals are not built on rivers in vain, and not just economic benefits. People have always been attracted to rivers, and the proximity of water increases their sense of comfort. Ljubljana is no exception. The Ljubljanica River Canal, flourishing in the beautiful autumn colors with its magnificent coasts, has forever drawn into my heart.

If you want a walk in the nature, this is perfect. Not too long, with shadow and sun. The walk path is gravely. Also great for dogs. Sometimes over the weekend more crowds, but not a problem. There is also a big parking lot.
