Kent Kings Speedway Sittingbourne

Speedway Racing – Mondays at Central Park Stadium. It’s a pure adrenalin rush as speedway riders’ race against each other on 500cc bikes which can accelerate from 0-60 quicker than a F1 car, with NO BRAKES, NO GEARS, NO FEAR!!! Two teams of seven riders race against each other over 15 heats, with 2 riders from each team in every heat, racing around a 268 metre oval circuit. Accelerating into the bends at 60mph then flicking out their rear wheel is a sight to be seen!!! The winner earns his team 3 points, second place gets 2 points, and 3rd gets 1 point. It's fast, it's furious, it's family entertainment and it's here at your local track!

As a family we have been to watch the speedway a few times. We have always found the stadium to be great family friendly fun. We can have a bite to eat, something to drink whilst we watch the most exciting sport in Kent. It seems to attract everyone from the very young to the very old, male & female. If you’ve not been before your in for a great treat.

We attended the Wales versus Barbarians match last Saturday. Using the park & ride from Cardiff Football Club, we were discharged in Canal St, giving us ample time and opportunity to walk through the closed streets to enjoy the atmosphere. Anyone who has attended any live event, will know how special the atmosphere is, if you were there. After the usual pre-match preliminaries, we met up with other rugby loving friends, not least because they had our tickets, and were sheperded into the stadium, bags searched, and in our seats by 2.15, about half-an-hour before kick off. With the roof closed and the stadium well-lighted, we enjoyed the theatre before our eyes, with the Welsh Regimental band parading with mascot goat, and the massed male voice choirs singing Calon Lan, Cwm Rhondda, and of course, "Why, why, why Delilah". Finally, the players lined up, the anthems were sung and we were off. The final result with Wales winning 43 points to 33, was just about deserved, but the occassion was particularly special for another reason. It was the final game played by the great Ulsterman, Rory Best, and the final game the former Welsh coach, Warren Gatland would be coaching, this time the Baa-Baas, albeit his successor, Wayne Pivac winning their encounter. Once the game was over, and the final validictory was said, the stadium proper emptied very quickly, allowing us to pick up our return bus to the park and ride facilities out of town. The Millenium stadium has won a good reputation for handling these big games and its well-deserved, and apart from the outrageous prices paid for snacks and drinks, it was jolly good day out.

This was by far one of the best birthday party my son who is a big Chelsea fan had with his friends. Alex and Brianna were our tour guides and they were so great and took their time to explain to the kids the different parts of the stadium, my son loved coming our of the dugout and sitting in the players chairs while the Chelsea anthem playing in the background, he also loved sitting in the manager's seat in the press conference room. They had the opportunity to tour the museum , play PS4 on a huge screen and practice some shootouts. The whole things was so well organized and everyone was amazingly nice and friendly. A highly recommended experience. thank you again for our wonderful tour guides to make this is a great experience

You get full freedom to walk the stadium on your own with a hand held device that leads you around and gives you information whilst you go! Sat in the directors box, was allowed in the changing rooms plus we got to go into unai emery’s office, the press conference rooms along with the interview room and then got to walk out onto the side of the pitch through the players tunnel! I’d highly recommend doing it yourself.
