Ubon Ratchathani (Thai: อุบลราชธานี, pronounced [ʔù.bōn râːt.t͡ɕʰā.tʰāː.nīː]), often shortened to Ubon (อุบลฯ), is one of the northeastern provinces (changwat) of Thailand, and the country's easternmost. Ubon is about 630 km (390 mi) from Bangkok. Neighboring Provinces are (from west clockwise) Sisaket, Yasothon, and Amnat Charoen. To the north and east it borders Salavan and Champasak of Laos, to the south Preah Vihear of Cambodia.

Great zoo. Can drive through in big open bus or hire small golf carts. Can get up close to deer.No elephants !!! There is a show put on there which is great. Toucans fly overhead from one trainer to the next.Spectacular.Variety of other animals do tricks. Worth having a look at if in Ubon. Out of town but taxi very cheap

My wife & I are keen golfers and having been recommended to try this course we did so and extremely happy that we did. It is a 3 hour drive from our home in Phon Ngam so planned to drive to arrive at about lunch time then play the 18 holes in the afternoon. Stay overnight in the resort accommodation & play a further 18 holes in the morning before driving home that afternoon. The first 9 holes are quite enjoyable as the fairways are quite wide with good fairway grass. All the greens are extremely well maintained and a joy to putt on. The second 9 becomes a little challenging as on the last few holes water comes into play which provides you with thought regarding club selection. Some might loose a ball or two so ensure you have sufficient in your bag. Our 2 caddies were extremely polite and most helpful in guiding us through each hole. Whilst my Thai is very limited my caddy was quickly able to determine which clubs I tended to use at various stages of the round.
