My husband and I each bought a leather jacket from this store. It's great quality and beautifully made. I really hadn't intended on buying a leather jacket this trip (it is summer!), but so happy I did. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful, making sure we were in love with our choices. Highly recommend a stop here if you are looming for a high quality leather jacket at a reasonable price!

Open-air market that has a cast-iron structure dating back to 1874, which offers a variety of food shops catering to local residents and restaurants.
Amazing space with a vibrant market in the ground floor with a wonderful range foods and a foodie heaven on the first floor with a fabulous range of cafes, restaurants and bars. Definitely worth visiting for the market treats and the fantastic food outlets.

Historical center of Florence features Sant'Ambrogio, one of the first religious buildings to be built in Florence.
We came to the indoor market to eat lunch at Trattoria da Rocco, which was great! After our meal we walked through the indoor and outdoor markets, full of shops selling fresh meat, cheese, seafood, pasta, and produce. We bought some excellent fresh ravioli from Botteghina Dell’Agusta, and had a wonderful experience here. The ravioli of buffalo mozzarella and porcini mushrooms was fantastic and we fixed this for dinner the same day we purchased it. A very friendly lady helped us easily, between our mediocre Italian and her broken English, it was an easy transaction. Outside there was lots to walk through and around- a wonderful break from touristy Florence, and just far enough off the beaten path.

Visited the first weekend in Sept 20, from what I understand it runs on the the first Sunday of each month and the day before (Saturday). Some explanations of when it runs seem to be very confusing. I believe it runs all year. Fantastic experience masses of stalls, I arrived at 09.15 and some stalls were just setting up. Beautiful setting and, as it was Sunday services were being conducted in the many churches chapels and the cathedral. Lovely atmosphere, stalls and cafes are also around for refreshment. As far as prices are concerned, haggle, it’s not difficult, and I think expected. There were some beautiful pieces, some odd, some unusual, some raging 60s and 70s furniture, plenty to see and a most enjoyable experience.

We stopped here briefly to visit the antique market which takes place on the third Sunday of the month from about 9 AM to 6 PM. They sell antiques and collectibles. It's very local which is nice. There is also a weekly flea market on Wednesdays in Siena starting around at 8 AM. It's pretty big and located at the area between the Lizza gardens and the Medici Fortress (right next to the NH Siena Hotel). It's about a 10 minute walk from Piazza del Campo.
