Things to do in Tumon, Guam: The Best Outdoor Activities

October 19, 2021 Tonie Szymanski

The beaches along Tumon Bay make up Guam’s main resort district, so you’ll find all manner of hotels, oceanview restaurants and beach bars. Try Ypao Beach Park for great snorkeling (some in very shallow water) and outdoor concerts. Want more privacy? It’ll take a bit of effort (a walk along a cliffside trail) but if you’re up for the challenge, Faifa'i Beach is a romantic, secluded spot.

Everything except food and sunscreen is available at this beautiful beach: grassy spots for games, a sandy stretch, great swimming, a playground and restrooms.

Not much crowded than expected. Scenic place in Guam. This beach us very close to Hilton spa and resort. You can go there in 10mins from the hotel. Even this beach is not the best clean one, though snorkelers surely enjoy here. There is picnic area which you can try BBQ party next to.the Ypao beach. 멋진곳입니다. 예쁜 해변과 함께 바로 옆에 바베큐 파티와 피크닉을 즐길수 있는 장소가 있어 가족여행객에게 유용한 장소입니다.

Tumon Beach

We had the opportunity to visit the beach during both high tide and low tide. During high tide, the beach is great. But low tide, not as nice. The beach has powdery white sand. The beach itself is free for the public but there are no free parking lots nearby.

Cushing Zoo

Reviewed By shrek58 - Peotone, United States

The owners were great! Explaining about the Zoo, how they came about getting the animals in their care, mostly rescues. And about Guam in general. This is the only way to see a live Guam Rail on Guam thanks to the tree snakes, which they have too. There's fruit bats and other Guam animals that are hard to see on the island due to poaching and invasive species. There is a WWII fortification in the park along with artifacts they have collected. Doesn't take long, its worth the visit!
