An excellent tour visiting Isola and Piran. Both beautiful and worth visiting. Our guide Petra knew lots of interesting things that made the trip enjoyable and worthwhile. She was also well tuned into the particular needs and interests of the group. What it did not say on the booking was the trip had a local wine, olive oil and meat and cheese tasting. That was an added bonus. So a great trip, a great guide and good company with the others on the trip.

The full day was great in whole. The caves are beautiful-definitely a sight you should see. There were a lot of students on trips but it's fine because you get put into a group with your own language guide. Horses are breathtaking and the history is interesting I wish we went on a day where the horses were "working" meaning you could ride them. We went on a Monday so that is the resting day for the Lipica horses-they train and trot all other days. Despite that, we had a lovely tour of the farm and interacted with the horses in their stables and learned about these unique majestic creatures. Pick up and drop off was right on time - car was comfortable and our guide found a good place for us to have lunch before taking us back into Trieste

The hoptour was a good option and overall satisfactory. The downside was drop off at castello Miramare, where the guide said 15 minute walk but actually took us 30 minutes. For some reason the bus chooses not to drive through the car park like other cars which can stop just outside the entrance, for a fee. Incidentally the Castello is not disabled friendly as the galleries are on 2 floors and no lift so wheelchairs only access the ground floor.
This tour make unique, that you will eat lunch in three countries. Maybe you have not eaten yet. 1st country Croatia (starters) Bobiči (this is the typical Istrian minestrone with vegetables and pieces of ham) ... a glass of wine will definitely be on the table. The appetizer will be in the smallest city in the world, so says the Guiness Book of Records. HUM retained the image of the early medieval city. 2nd country Slovenia (main dish) Visit to the inn in Rodik, located on the Karst and not far from Lipica stud-farm. Here we will eat the national Slovenian gourmet lunch. After lunch we will continue to Lipica. From the outside we will see the terrains of the oldest stud farm in Europe from 1580. 3rd country Italy ( coffee) The end of lunch will be in Italy, precisely in the city of coffee – Trieste, on it's Unity Square. We will drink great coffee and then we will slowly take it back to Portoroz.
Inclusions: TripAdvisor Experiences brokerage fee, Bottled water, 3-course lunch, Pickup and drop-off from designated meeting points, Transport by air-conditioned minivan, Alcoholic Beverages, Coffee and/or Tea
