Val Gardena

The beautiful breathtaking scenery, the endless slopes ( one La Longia 10.5 km long) and the lovely town makes this place the Mecca for ski lovers. No matter how many times you will be there , just the thought of it makes your body crave with expectation. If I will ever know that there is only one ski vacation left in my life- Val Gardena will be the place.

After several years we finally attempted it and did it! Great day of skiing 25 miles. Watch out for the “alternative” route though which involves Black runs!

A perfect winter day: bright sun vivid blue sky startling white snow. This was our first experience of hiking in the Dolomites and what an introduction. It was unforgettable.

Kronplatz Ski Fields

This resort area in the Italian Dolomites is not only a haven for downhill skiers and snowboarders, but is also a delightful summer resort from May through October for hikers, climbers and nature-lovers.

Sella Ronda Tour connects four passes in the Dolomites and provides fabulous views while skiing on the best prepared slopes I have ever experienced. You spend some 3 hours making a circle around Gruppo di Sella, which is really a sight for sore eyes!

Lago di Ledro

Lake Ledro is located 10 Km from Lake Garda and it is surrounded by green mountains, where you can hike or bike. At Lake Ledro you can relax in one of the 4 beaches and swim in its fresh water. One of the beaches is animal friendly. Lake Ledro is also best known because of the Pile-Dwelling settlement, dating back to the Bronze Age, recently recognized as UNESCO World Heritage.

Reviewed By Ch00klady - Western Australia, Australia

Thankfully lacking the crowds of other nearby lakes, lago di ledro is a wonderful place to enjoy everything a crystal clear mountain lake has to offer: swimming, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding or walking around the lake. The community has done well to preserve the natural beauty by preserving lots of parkland and public beaches around the lake, so it has easy access for everyone. We paddle boarded for hours and loved this place!
