Transylvania is a historical region in today's central Romania. Bound on the east and south by its natural borders, the Carpathian mountain range, historical Transylvania extended westward to the Apuseni Mountains. The term sometimes encompasses not only Transylvania proper, but also the historical regions of Crișana and Maramureș, and occasionally the Romanian part of Banat.

This was a very surprising experience in the good way. The is plenty to see there, the children were very excited, and the greenhouses with the aquarium and all the plans were exquisite. Much more to see then at the botanical garden in Cluj.

The Botanic Park covers aprox. 8 ha, being the second biggest park in Timisoara. It has a good variety of trees and bushy plants... but not named, unfortunately. Its beauty comes, however, from the landscape: with small hills, valleys and rocky areas... and from the nice shadow offered by the imposing trees. One of its kiosks hosts, from time to time, dance lessons. In the afternoons there are a lot of parents with their children in this park. The entrance it's free.
Gradina Termala covers an area of 1.5 hectares and has shaded areas of trees, swimming pools with thermal water for treatment or swimming that await you to enjoy and relax. The water park also offers plenty of events for the whole family. From parties to children's creation workshops, as well as hidrokinetotherapy sessions for those who want to improve the health of the locomotor system.
