Trani [ˈtraːni]  listen (help·info) is a seaport of Apulia, in southern Italy, on the Adriatic Sea, 40 kilometres (25 mi) by railway West-Northwest of Bari. The town has recently become one of the capital cities of the new Province of Barletta-Andria-Trani (as of June 2009).

The paths are immersed in the Alta Murgia National Park, walking you have the feeling of being in a large open space in which to wander with your gaze towards infinite horizons characterized by the pungent smells of mint and wild thyme in the intense green of the wheat fields or rocky pastures between the evident yellow of the ferula, meeting orchids and cricket hawks. In this land, emperors, farmers, shepherds, lumberjacks, together with the climate, have made the landscape and its culture unique. On the way you will meet beautiful farms, you will cross oak forests, along the ancient sheep tracks of transhumance you will discover jazzi and post offices, you will walk along panoramic mule tracks and among the wheat fields you will admire ancient straw hay and fish. On the hills, flocks of sheep will mingle with the characteristic sharp rocks that give this territory its name (murex = murice> murgia).
