Things to do in Toronto, Canada: The Best Gift & Specialty Shops

May 7, 2022 Velvet Champine

We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theater, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.

The Beguiling Books and Art

One of the other oldest comic book stores in Toronto, The Beguiling is my go-to place for indie comics, local books, comic events, and rare/hard to find books. They carry a lot of indie work and can usually order things for you if need be. These are also the people who organize the Toronto Comic Arts Festival. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend!

We stepped into this life changing vortex the first night of our weekend. My son, my daughter and I. It was the best part of our trip! We made sure to go back the night before we left. It has a bit of everything..... crystals, singing bowls, clothes, pictures and posters, books, food.... it will most definitely be my first and last stop in Toronto.
