Tradition collides with pop culture in Tokyo, where you can reverently wander ancient temples before rocking out at a karaoke bar. Wake up before the sun to catch the lively fish auction at the Tsukiji Market, then refresh with a walk beneath the cherry blossom trees that line the Sumida River. Spend some time in the beautiful East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, then brush up on your Japanese history at the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Don’t forget to eat as much sushi, udon noodles, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) as your belly can handle.

Its a good train if you need to get to Hakone. Japan known for its train system, is really one of the best when it comes to connectivity and reducing travel time. suggest getting the Hakone day pass as it covers many other modes of transport within hakone as well.

If you’re on a tighter budget than the bullet train and also don’t want to waste a day travelling from Tokyo- Osaka, I would highly recommend this bus. Seats were a lot more spacious than I imagined and we actually managed to sleep for most of the journey.
