Gotemba is Japan's most popular outlet mall, with 210 stores offering luxury, sports, and international brands. Located at the base of Mt. Fuji, the mall is accessible by train and bus from Tokyo.
Good for those who love to shop. Located in a very scenic location, with Mt. Fuji in the backdrop. For those who are here just to explore or for window shopping, there are a number of eateries which should keep you busy. The food court has a variety of options, really liked the dessert parlor in the food court that serves huge cotton candies or ice cream cones wrapped in a cloud of cotton candy. Even though it is situated a little out of the way from the town center there are free shuttle buses to and fro from Gotemba station which makes it very accessible.

50 minutes by direct express bus from Chubu Centrair International Airport. One of the largest outlet malls in Japan with many shops for luxurious brand products, adjacent to the amusement park and spa facility; 50 minutes at the fastest by bus from Nagoya. ● Stores / 240 stores approx.
There was a huge range of shops and all had a good selection including the big luxury brands. No queues to get in unlike the luxury outlet mall in London (Bicester Village) and it was nice to go around and not crowded. We got the bus from Nagoya station. It was easy to find and straightforward to buy tickets. Gucci had a nice selection of items. They had good the classic large GG belt at a very good price compared to the UK price, also I doubt you would find this in London. You can go to the tourist info centre and pick up the map/info booklet which has a pink box stating if you show it at the counter you can get a voucher booklet. This entitles you to discounts at some stores including Coach and Agnes B. Obviously there aren't vouchers for the luxury brands. There are facilities for families. It seems quite well thought out. I'd definitely go again if I'm in the area.
